or separately
£4.50 for each kit,
£11.50 for vehicles
£29.50 if bought individually.
I guess i shouldn't be surprised, they've been doing it for years on console games, early unlocks in tiger woods etc.

Weapons are nerfed also, all of them, accuracy wise. Burst fire past very close range is not an option even with m4a1 and m16a3, which is a good thing. Snipers - What I don't like is suppression buff, I think they went too far, if two guys are shooting at each other, and one of them doesn't die with first 2-3 bullets they both get suppressed into oblivion with huuuuuge accuracy penalty making even hitting in a remote direction impossible, only option is to retreat and hide. Kinda stupid imo.

Think about it: if you were actually put in a life-or-death situation and your body was pumping adrenaline like crazy and screaming at you to duck and hide, your marksmanship will be put off by a lot. Obviously you don't feel that genuine fear when you're safely behind a keyboard and monitor, but I find the more supression effects screw with you, the more realistic and immersive the experience. But, I can respect the opinion of people who don't agree with that. My only advice would be to just run with the SQD COVER specialization until you can learn to deal.

Maybe not for you, but I find the closer I can feel to being in an actual war zone (realistically), the more exciting the game is for me. The realism draws me in, immerses me in the game. Also it's beautiful as fuck. Realism also bolsters any feeling of accomplishment, because it feels like you're actually doing those actions in real life (which is impressive) rather than just clicking on someone with a mouse (which is unimpressive). If I wanted to shoot a bunch of cartoons, I'd play Brink or Team Fortress. Also, are you saying BF3 isn't centred around good gameplay? If so, you're playing a very different game than I, as BF3 IMO is one of the most fun games I've played in 25 years of videogaming...

As other has been pointing out, almost all of the gun has been tweaked in some way, and I feel that most has been for the better. There is not many weapons that you can now go all out spray and pray and actully hit something. And about the supression effect I agree with Rob, it adds to the immersion of the game and actully makes me hit the deck. I find myself smiling at times, hiding behind cover and hearing someone unleash loads of lead into that cover. The sound, the supression effect just makes up for a beutiful fps experience. BF3 just got much better!

UGH tbh i dont see that big of a problem. if people want to pay money for shortcuts on decently tuned unlocks i really dont care.

Jets are definitely weaker, and dog fights are weird and boring since it takes a full pass with 90% accuracy to kill a jet from full. Stingers lock insanely fast now, but locked missiles of any kind are still very much dodgable. Weapon handling is pretty shit. I don't get why they didn't just import BC2 weapon handling. I don't give a flying fuck if you can't realistically hit with a submachinegun at several hundred meters simply by shooting single shots, I want proper accuracy and difficult handling in terms of recoil and timing of shots. Now shit just bounces all over the place even more than before, which evidently is also hurting all the baddies a lot. Minimap/radar layout and colour changes to UI as well as changes to spawn screen interface are extremely welcomed and are probably what they did best. Still no real fixes to terrible vaulting and jumping through windows. Fall damage can still happen extremely easily from a few meters. Also not thrilled that you're now forced to hold down Q to set attack/defend orders. I'd wish it was there as an option in addition to something where you can also do it while flying or hectically looking around. Suppression is just a dumbass mechanic when it's as apparent as it is now. It takes literally 1 sniper bullet or 2-3 missed shots(that'll inevitably come in duels) to get you fully suppressed, halving your accuracy at the least. It's by far enough that it completely impedes your vision and awareness. Again this same thing goes for the flashlights, which arbitrarily reduce your accuracy for no goddamn reason when they already screw you over by blinding you like the sun. Suppression should stay as what it really is. Suppression to keep you in cover and pinned down, not random accuracy decreasing disease applied to you in every single gunfight to annoy the hell outta you.
