Tell you what... you build the next BF game, and you can give yourself all the weapons you want...

No, I'm just obsessive-compulsive with seeing all those 0% chance of unlocking those attachments. Though a few of them would be nice, most of them are worthless. Also the fact that most of the Chinese weapons are worthless (except for the semi-auto sniper, and the long-range capabilities of the carbine). There's just so many guns in this game, even after 200+ hours, I haven't unlocked every attachment for every gun, then I want to get 5 Service stars per gun, which is definitely going to take a while.
I wouldn't mind a remake of Kubra Dam to be honest, jet alleyways with not much usable ground space to bomb would make for some great dogfight action. Road to Jalalabad and Mashtuur City would be nice with all the new BF3 environment and destructible buildings.

Yes, you will have fun with the base game. The DLC is good value for the money though, in my opinion. Surely you can buy a copy that comes with Karkand, no?

dont know lol, its complicated these days^^ just wanted to buy a copy. So i should get an copy with karkand?

I agree with Rob, it's good value for its cost.
So yes, pick up Karkand if you can.
|
ok thx i'll just buy it with karkand, and then do further investigations.
good evening/afternoon then.

You'll want to be looking for the "Limited Edition" copy of the game. It was available through pre-order, but it must be around somewhere.

When is the DLC announcement?? It's already Thursday of the week it was supposed to be announced!
|
yeah thx, was already pricechecking.
i buy the base game and then the Karkand DLC which is cheaper. Limited edition is 83eur on amazon(!) and NormalGame+DLC is 63eur (i want it for PS3 btw, dont think my laptop is good enough)

i'd say that the DLC on a cent by cent basis was actually worth more than the main game in terms of content
City maps are so <3

Agreed all the new maps are perfect for BF3 and they are like the only ones worth playing imo.

You... Actually... Think Gulf of Oman is a good map? It is terrible in Squad Rush, its terrible in Conquest, and pretty much any other game mode I can think of. I feel similarly about Wake Island as well.
Karkand and Sharqi are really good maps. Balanced, and pretty fun.

Balanced, and pretty fun. Gulf of Oman could've worked in the original setup, but DICE probably wanted to emphasize destructible buildings, thus the movements of the B/C, as well as the D point being slightly changed to fit their environments of Frostbite 2 engine. Wake Island has a totally different feel than BF2; I believe this is due to the lack of stationary AA, as well as the lack of a Commander role.
Sharqi changed in the 64 player version by adding a point F, making the epic taking the TV station much less impressive than BF2. My assumption is that since they wanted to reduce the importance of TV station, they added another point so that there would be an easier staging area to take it, and additional defense for which team controls it.

I really think all the new maps fucking blow. The only one I even remotely enjoy is Karkand

It seems we all have very different tastes. Of the new maps, I think Gulf of Oman is the only really good one, while Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, and Sharqi Peninsula are ok. On the other hand, I love Operation Firestorm, best conquest map imo.

I finnaly broke the 400 SPM mark woohoo (i know this doesnt sound much to some of you but for me its a milestone). Also im almost at 40 service stars with the AN-94 now. This gun is realy nice once you get used to it. With 21.3% accuracy its by far my best gun.

oh good for you :D
I never try to go over 200 spm, I only play in kahrg and I would like to decrease, by bigger maps.
I have unlocked everything I need fgor this game, from now on, I will try to have fun
But I probably will not since the game devolved so much and turned into the way I dont want this to be(RUN_N_GUN)
2142 was much more fun and worked well, but there are no servers left.

Yeah currently taking small break after playing ALOT for a few days, and feeling it in my right wrist. Not nearly as bad now, and had time to play Witcher 2. Though soon will get back into this. Have unlocked everything there is to unlock except vehicle unlocks, also two ribbons to still get and a ton of medals of course, but I think I will focus on improving my game whilst continuing to enjoy the crap out of Caspian, running and gunning as an engie with the A-91 (man oh man...so good). Miss it ^_^
