All in all i think it is one of the best Sniper rifles out there, especially if you play aggressive (aka, not trying to snipe 400m+ - right next to the grunts) Assault Rifles: M416 (totally imba) / KH2002 MGs: M240B SMGs: P90 / AS Val / PP19 Snipers: SKS / M98B Shotgun: 870Mcs don't need anything else Ugh, that weapons list makes me hella-sad. The M416 got nerfed in the last patch (it's still OK I guess, but there are at least 4 better assault rifles). The P90 and AS Val are significantly worse than either the PDW-R or the UMP-45. SKS is only good with a 4x scope or equal short-range scope, because frankly at long ranges it is almost unusable (as was stated before). And of course the USAS just rapes compared to other shotguns, even after their nerf (though the 870 is not bad per se). The KH2002 is ok, as is the M98B, and personally I prefer the IAR or RPK to the M240B, but that's more of a playstyle thing. If you're good with them, that's cool, but I don't know how you can play the best you can with these weapons. My loadout by comparison - Assault - AEK/F2000/M16A3 (in order of usage) MGs - IAR/RPK (I like the accuracy, rather than spraynpray supression) Carbines - I don't use Engy class, but lets go with default and maybe SCAR Sniper - SV98/M98B Shotgun - USAS To be fair, I generally only use Assault rifles and MGs, but I have tried out most of the weapons, and I know what I like.

I almost agree with your weapon choices. Assault - AEK(close-mid range) M16A3(long range) also the best allround-gun. the other weapons lose to those two. Engineer - G53(new weapon) G36C and starter weapons are all viable Support - the only class I haven't maxed out. (im 53) just don't like mgs in general Recon - M98B (you can play this weapon close range as well and be aggressive)

Actually the only reason I use the AEK is for shits, giggles and service stars.

Actually the only reason I use the AEK is for shits, giggles and service stars. well the only reason for me to spray is if I rush a building or something or when someone suddenly pops up in front of me. Like pretty much everything <20yards. Any other range I shoot in 2 round bursts. You won't notice any recoil that way. Here is another interesting video about recoil/aiming that might help some of you.

Assault = G3A3 (long time favourite) or the AEK if I feel like rambo. Sniper = SV98 (I don't have M98B unlocked yet, hate sniper class overall) Engi = G53 (good enough for me) b4 nerf was Scar-H Support = M240B as absolute favourite, M249 for shits and giggles. Both basic stocks viable too. M240B and G3A3 might seem like weird choices, but I can do magic with them on the battlefield.

It also seems to be really hard to generate as many points as the other classes as recon.

Sniping takes 3 hits to the torso to generate a kill at an appreciable distance. If you're spotted people with an assault rifle + optical scope can out snipe you. It also seems to be really hard to generate as many points as the other classes as recon. a decent sniper will almost always be the point leader. maybe someone tank or gunnerwhoring will be above him. 3 hits? you use semi-automatic then? because with a bolt-action rifle you need 2 torso shots. but it doesn't really matter anyways because as sniper its all about the headshots. I have about 80% headshots with my M98B. and as soon as you headshot someone you get 10 points headshot bonus + marksman bonus which is the distance in points. so for instance a headshot from 450 meters away will give you 560 points (100 for kill, 10 for headshot, 450 marksman) and yeah getting shots from 50-400 meters should always be headshots on first try.

Played around 10 games with it and most games were 30-2 40-5 or something very similair. Canister shell lets you 1 shot infantry from short to medium-long range and it works fantastic against those pesky engineers. It's OP as hell in Firestorm and works really good in Caspian. I'm a bit sad that no one seems to make use of the CiV I unlocked, I keep lasering stuff but no one seems to even try to get a lock. Maybe next time I'll team up with an AA tank and laser attack heli's so the AA can shoot without getting distracted by flares. That would require teamwork though and battlefield seems void of teamwork.

I agree, really enjoy playing with canister shell. but you forgot the most satisfying thing: shooting the pilots out of jets/helis :D the canister shell is really accurate and you almost always hit with it. headshotting the pilots <3

Assault: AS VAL Engi: G53 Support: SAIGA 12K Recon: L96 (I'm not big on sniping so I dont have the M40 or the M98B) I also just unlocked the Jackhammer (MK3A1). My favorite gun is the SAIGA so choosing which one to use is hard for me cause they're both so awesome ![]()

Provided you don't spam the trigger too you can put people down from far away also. It's easily my favorite sniper rifle now. Got two service stars for it in a little over 5 hours.

I'm using a mouse+keyboard setup. Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity ingame so that it ups the sensitivity when I hop into an aircraft? I remember in BF2 you could do this, but I can't find the option in BF3. Also, are there any experienced jet/chopper pilots who can give some tips about how to dominate a game as a solo pilot, without the help of a TV missile gunner? One particular aspect I'm having trouble with is flying the jet without a joystick. I find that when I'm trying to make a sharp turn, I run out of space on my desk to drag the mouse, and end up having to lift it up, reposition, and drag again. This means my turns are extremely sluggish and not very crisp, which means I lose dogfights regularly. Another thing is, I'm finding it very hard to take out AA vehicles. I can empty all of my rockets into one, but his bullets will take me out, or at the very least disable my chopper and make me crash into a cliff. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

With RDS/Holo + foregrip + suppressor, AEK is a killing machine. On December 21 2011 09:25 Skullflower wrote: If you use it in the right role it will really shine. Got two service stars for it in a little over 5 hours. you see thats what i dont get. even playing as a aggressive recon, the amounts of shot required to kill someone with a SKS/MK11 doesnt change. Mk11/SVD is again far superior seeing how you require only 2 shots instead of 3, that time needed to fire a 3rd shot usually means you lost that gun fight. if you talk about accuracy/recoil,they actually behave the same in close-med range. the only difference as a aggressive recon that you will face,is the need to fire 3 shot instead of 2 when using a SKS. Since everyone's listing their fav weapons for each class, here's mine. I havent unlocked many of the new B2K guns because i was busy in Dragon Nest SEA (Awesome game btw). Assault: AEK / M16A3....AEK is used when the other team is actually good, where i have to win gun fights. You guys know the feeling when the enemy team is all Wings and has excellent killing abilities, AEK gives me the edge to win in gun fights. M16A3 is kinda like my default gun, i use it for everything. Engineer: A91 / SCAR-H ... A91 performs like AEK for me, a gun when i want to kick ass. SCAR-H after the nerf is no longer overpowered but i like the feel of the gun. Recon: M98B ... bolt action rifle ftw. this gun does huge torso damage too. Support: The stock LMGs with 46 round clips. I personally havent unlock shit for the Support Class machine guns like the M240b...i should get on it ho haha.

I guess I'm just bad at the game then. I can't hit people from that far. Getting a headshot while adjusting for bullet drop in a target that's 400m out is quite diificult. Do you have any tips? Maybe I could hit a stationary target, but hitting moving targets from far away is quite hard. I also have a ton of trouble actually finding people to shoot at in conquest mode since everyone is do spread across the map. I guess recon has a higher skill floor then the other 3 classes.
