My impressions so far about the B2K weapons:
FAMAS - first sights are absolutely terrible, but once you grind out foregrip, supressor and Reflex (RDS) this weapon becomes a beast.
G53 - Probably my favourite engi weapon ATM. First unlock is Reflex RDS which is great, foregrip is also one of the first unlocks. Very good, very accurate, 3 firing modes.
QBB-95 pretty wierd yet effective LMG hybrid. The reason I say hybrid is because it's something in between the M60/M249 and an assault rifle. Spraying works better than with the other LMGS and is much more mobile, but it can't match an assault in a straight up fight. Also beats engi weapons head on. Ridiculous stock sights (ballistic x12 scope or none at all), but again, needs to be grinded out.
The QBU-98 is pretty trash. Or at least, I prefer my stock SV98 which I own face with. I just don't like semiauto rifles really. Bolt action all the way baby.
I'm pretty close to unlocking the QBZ-95B which killed me a few times, the MG36 which looks awesome, and the L96 (which will probably suck ass it's actually bolt action so might be worth my effort.)

Aye, the MG36 is awesome indeed. The 2 round burst is extremely accurate for longer ranges. It's somewhere in between IAR/RPK who are more AR-like and the "regular" LMGs and quite versatile. So I'd also call it a "hybrid" 
The L96 is basically the M40 with slightly faster bullet speed, otherwise its identical.
I still prefer my M98B

I'm really loving Assault, Engineer and Support second assignment unlocks. My accuracy with most assault rifles is around 15% but I'm above 20% with L85A2, that weapon is a accuracy monster.
Recon I won't be playing anymore now that I got recon service star so can't say much about those rifles.

I must say since I unlocked the famas I've been doing a lot better, I've only had the game a week, and in one day got more unlocks on the famas than on all my other guns combined. Currently using suppressor, foregrip and I think it was holo scope

I don't play assault so i havent used the gun personally, so is the FAMAS the new SCAR/IRNV and should be nerfed or is it balanced?

its balanced. it's very powerful close-mid range but falls of on long range. you can still do decent on long range but other guns are just better. it has a ridiculous ROF but also the longest reload time if you waste the one in the chamber as well.

Well, I made the mistake of buying this last night. After having to return the first copy because it wasn't properly burned to the DVD properly, I got my second copy. Little did I know that I had the following to look forward to:
- the most asinine and convoluted install process ever.
- a frustrating glitch where the game wants to download instead of install from the disc.
- the weirdest game launch system - Games > BF3 > launches Origin > Origin opens browser > browser opens BF3.
- Origin, another "system" to keep track of what games I'm playing. Awesome.
- excruciatingly slow load times
- server issues
Man, I was never a big FPS guy but my friends all swore up and down this game was the shit. It looks pretty - and I'm sure it's fun, the only problem is, despite having a system fully capable, I can barely play it with all the bugs I'm finding.

1. The " a frustrating glitch where the game wants to download instead of install from the disc." is not a glitch. It <<downloads>> the game... but from the disc. Just a mislabel on their part. It will only really download for patches.
2. Agree on installer and the game launch system... ROFL EA

Ye, the install wasn't the best I'll agree
Origin, ye, it's not optimal.
Battlelog, AWESOME - No Im not sarcastic. It's a very good system, its just a little unorthodox.
You never have to touch origin, just keep it in the tray. Bookmark your battlelog profile, and just use that instead.
The load times, ye sometimes, the first time I join a server after a computer restart, I can get pretty long load times. After that, its usually pretty quick.
As for server issues, I haven't experienced any really.

Hey how do you get the physical warfare pack on PC? I can't find out anywhere how...seems like PS3 and Xbox users can just "buy it for free" off of the respective stores but what about PC?

I think the FAMAS is fucking terrible at anything except low range. It's fine, i'd even say it's underpowered.

I got a code sent to me by my retailer by e-mail. The e-mail also had instructions inside how to activate it step by step. After that it automatically updates your BF3 profile.

Famas certainly isn't broken. It's got a big kickback. AEK and M16 both outperform it for mid/long engagements. It's saving grace is the 900RPM rate of fire.

I found the FAMAS to be a beast at medium range when I was grinding out kills with the 4x scope. Now that I use the holo I find it near useless at anything further than 50m. The reload time is killer if you use that last round in the chamber.

Me too.i only had a game contents not found issue just right after the patch.hen it got fixed. I just unlocked suppressor & RDS for my FAMAS,and I'm pretty happy.the RDS works better than the 4x for sure.had to go sleep right after the unlock,didn't really get to test FAMAS out.will post soon with how I think of it

Despite all my previous hate for Origin, I literally had no issues with it as of yet. It doesn't even eat up a lot of my processor.

Then my servers that i play on usually does 2 same maps before rotation (RU/US switch), the 2nd same map before rotation, loads nearly instantly.
When it goes into map rotation to bring out the next map, its a longer loading time,but way lesser than joining a server for the 1st time

Fuck DICE/EA for making the L85 need 5 SQDM wins. Thats the most retard game mode in the fucking world. On top of that they allow vehicles in those matches. Trash gets into an APC and it's fgucking autowin. HFVOHGGAEHSO[UGHEOADH'AOIEG'O
