The M240B is proven to have the least TTK (Time to kill) in the whole game, so I would say it's definitely the best gun for support. I either put on Kobra sight + foregrip + Laser and just run into choke points spraying, usually picking up 2/3 kills with ease. Or put on a IRNV + Bipod + Extended mag, setup outside a chokepoint and just destroy anything that walks through. | ||

I run it maxed out at other than AA (albeit not constant 60 FPS - doesn't bother me as long as it stays in the 40+ range and isn't spiky) at 1920x1200 on an i7 930, 6GB DDR3, and a GTX 460 1GB SC. Prior to getting the game all I heard was how 'yeah your going to need like a dual i7 system with a tri GTX 580 SLI setup powered by a small nuclear reactor and kitten blood'. It doesn't take nearly as much as people have been saying to max it out. | ||

I have more kills with the SKS than any other weapon, so here's my thoughts. The SKS is not a Sniper Rifle. Technically the game gives you Sniper Rifle ribbons, but that's the closest association it has. The SKS cannot even kill in 1 hit to the head. So why use it? To be a 2 shot machine. Although it lacks the range of real sniper rifles, it it still more accurate and a bit longer ranged than most automatic rifles. There's basically no bullet drop for 50 meters or so, and the damage is pretty good up to 80m or so. So 1 head shot + 1 body shot will take out most people under 100m. That's what the SKS is good for, medium range engagements of around 50m-80m (or less, but get too close and you get a full clip in your face). I have become quite good at rapidly taking down people in 2-3 shots, and with a 20 round clip you can get off a few. You need to aim for the head though, because otherwise it'll often be 4 shots to kill someone, and that's annoying. I prefer the IRNV scope for it. I have used 4x and 7x scopes with it before, but IRNV allows you to quickly spot enemies and it doesn't matter if the dot is small, just hold shift at (or above their head past 50m) and fire 2 shots and they should die. There are not many SKS players because if you try to Snipe with it at long range it's useless, and up close it loses to anything in a DPS battle. Once you figure out the medium range it excels at it's not bad. | ||

And that is manly because its not a sniper or even marksman rifle. And its funny to see people rage about it when they fail to use it in a reasonable way. I run my SKS with frontgrip, suppressor and the PK-A 3x scope. And it is a beast in midrange fights. If you want to snipe, use something else. | ||

My main problem is that gunning down a jet in front of you is very hard with keyboard because its very unprecise, so i switch o mouse for that. But once he starts moving too much trying to evade its hard to keep up with mouse so i have to switch back to arrow keys. Also i still dont know how much ahead i should shoot so the bullets actually hit >_< | ||

I'll have to do something to make the model appear correctly, usually like switching weapons (multiple times). Has anyone else encountered this issue? I reinstalled the most up to date drivers. I really don't want to reinstall the game just for this reason. | ||
