I just hope it's still visible from long distances, because it's fun picking off clueless snipers who don't know how to turn it off.
Note this is probably not why you're spotting snipers.
Sniper scopes have a reflection that makes them visible when they're pointed near you. This *flash* is not due to the flashlight, but rather the scope. The scopes that have this say so in their description.
A couple questions about that....Is this "flash" supposed to be a constant light, similar to a flash light? I swear I've killed guys hiding with LMGs with the flashlight on (possibly with scope that has that flash?), and I think I saw the flashlight on, on the killcam)....just curious...
The sniper scope reflection will be visible whenever the scope is pointed close to you (eg, aiming at you, if you're on the right side of the person and they sprint (hence the gun faces to the right).
It will be constant but won't ever take up a large portion of your screen like a flashlight. Unlike a flashlight it doesn't have to be pointed directly at you (although the angle will be small, so at close distances it would have to be directly at you)
I think most LMG do not have sniper scopes however, so that was probably a flashlight (although I did see some DICE-employee-only unlocks for sniper scopes for some MG)
while i never play support i know i have seen lmgs with 8x in killcam, and i think 12x too. those and 7x are the only ones giving off a reflection

What I mean is, will they be placed somewhere along the way of leveling path, so someone with maxed support will get all new stuff for his class straight away, or this will be completely new thing that needs XP ?
BTW,, didn't see those here. Second one with the jeep on the antena made me cry with tears of laughter.
Videos like these make me wonder how people can call this game boring. No it's the people playing who are boring.
Running vehicles into people and other vehicles with explosives (aka landmines back in my day...BF1942 ftw) is CLASSIC battlefield, that's nothing special :p
Ah man those videos were hilarious! .. Like.. look, I like winning but you know what what I like more? Enjoying the game lol.
I'm slightly put off by how ruthlessly sound that guys point was on tiny maps but at the same time.. I have my quick match set to the three big maps anyway. And those videos made me lol so hard I want to play right now :D

There is the new twist of premature explosions however.
Nothing quite like one of the APC bullets hitting a truck and getting a huge explosion from the 6 C4s going off
I am still on the edge of BF3. I mean, BF1942 was probably my favorite FPS of all time (Forgotten Hope mod, to be exact) so I love the franchise. I didn't care for 2/2142 all that much and I'm in love with TF2. I know they're vastly different but I am one of those people that hates having tons of games in the same genre, because I can never decide which one I feel like playing, hahah.
I agree completly with that guy. I really love BF3 so far, but the maps makes it almost unplayable for me :< I am 'forced' to play 32 player/CQ large since 64 is just one big clusterfuck. Caspian border is the only prober map imo, and i still think its abit too small for 64. Im so disapointed that DICE went from glorious BF2 maps, to this..

Oh man I laugh so hard when that happens. You know that scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where the librarian is stamping books while Indiana is hitting the ground with the metal cordon thing? That's what it feels like when you accidentally trigger someones C4 on a vehicle haha

I take it this is for those poor souls not playing bf3 on a PC, where battletracker offers the exact same service already? If so, how are they linking that information to this site?
EDIT: Ah I see this site is ever so slightly a little more in depth than battletracker... interesting.
