This map is the most imba thing in a videogame i have seen in my 20 years as a gamer. If your US you can give up from the start, or am i missing something? I mean RU just has to rush to point B and then camp on highground and rpg the shit out of the choke points (stairs), i dont see any way you could win on this map as US. on metro if you're US you have to hope that you can get some sort of foothold up top while theyre taking B and if you can keep them off that first wall by the escalators theres a 25% chance you can push forward and take B. i think twice today on the TL server US won but you almost have to rely on the other team screwing up I'm really struggling with a lot of the maps for similar reasons, honestly. It feels like with teams of equal skill, there's a huge number of impassable rush objectives or blatant imbalances. Metro stage 3 comes to mind for attackers, and Damavand stage 4. One of the grand bazaar stages is ridiculous as well, I think stage 2, because you have the option of a tremendously tight corridor with four machine gunners at the end of it, or a huge wide open channel with no cover with thirty snipers at the end of it. Canals conquest also seems rough for the team that spawns on the water. I've had enemy teams take nearly all the points before we even make landfall, because you have to choose between waiting for your boat to fill or leaving half your team stranded on the ship. It's also pretty annoying when your squad is eliminated, as people tend to become selfish with the boats later on, and so you often end up chilling in the hangar for a very long time. The team that spawns on land has no such issues. I dunno. Maybe I'm wrong or too much of a noob to deal in those situations, but it seems like DICE took some inspiration from Brink that should have been left in that craphole of a game. Yeah some attacker objectives are just too hard. Even when one team is total shit and the other is awesome sometimes you just get locked up. Damavand 4 gives me such problems too. Had a crack squad that capped the first stage in under a minute, and easily took the second and third right after. I rushed in and capped the easy objective at 4 right when the borders changed. That last one in the warehouse is just absurd. So open with dark corners for 50 machine gunners and rockets T.T I almost capped it but my team dropped the ball. Once that timer start you just need to keep chucking explosives at it haha Anyone else notice that support guys tend to forget to drop ammo? Some funny situations with like 5 guys yelling for ammo and the support guy just prone shooting.
Oh man, you should play with me. I've gotten 7 Resupply ribbons in one round of Conquest on Metro

I haven't used the m40a5 enough to compare it with the others, but it feels really nice using it. The m98b has the highest bullet speed and lowest bullet drop of the three. I'm willing to bet it also has the highest damage, but it only has 6 rounds per clip, so there's your limitation. I don't know. To me it feels like they're equally capable of doing whatever job you want them to do. There are just slight variations, unlike the rifles in BC2, where the m24 was your go-to gun unless you wanted to kill helicopter pilots or snipe long distance, in which case you needed the m95 and GOL respectively.

Im surprised noone mentioned the IRNV scope yet. This completely ruins the infantry part of the game for me. Its ridiculously OP. You can see enemies just like with glowskins in quake games and it has no real disadvantage. So much for the whole aspect of cover and camouflage.

I've never been so disappointed with a game :/...played the single player and it just felt like the same cliché story again, I really hope that it gets better, I'm in the second mission and I can barely take it anymore.
I haven't really tried online, but I can already tell that it will disappoint awell...in consoles atleast.

Excuse me, but I find this post amusing. EVERY single website that covered bf3, be it a magazine, be it a community, told you months ago that it would be just another generic fps campaign (although I liked the jet and the tank mission). This game is about the multiplayer, and if you play it on a console it's pretty much your own fault.^^ On pc it's a blast.

I try not looking at preview of games I'm looking forward to, I like going in with as little spoilers as possible. I felt kind of forced to get it for consoles though, I don't have the monies to get a good PC to play this, I'm just poor as hell now

Well, if you're poor as hell and still spend money on a game without doing any research, and then complain about the part of the game that every single review stated was sub-par, I feel like you only have yourself to blame.

WTF? And what were you expecting from a BF single player anyways? They haven't had a really good single player campaign ever. BF3 is all about the multiplayer. And the single player really isn't THAT bad. The multiplayer is anything but a disappointment. It is amazing.

I like going into the games and make my own opinions on the game, I knew I was gonna get burn down hard as I posted that but hey, it's just what I think about it.
I know more than well that BF if all about MP, I've been playing it since the very first one. I know, I have been playing for no more than an hour, I'll maybe change my mind once I play it more.
One thing I have to admit is that the game looks beautiful, best looking game of the year so far.

Is that type of scope only for snipers?

I haven't really tried online, but I can already tell that it will disappoint awell...in consoles atleast. Online multiplayer is where Battlefield shines. Most people will never touch the campaign if there is multiplayer avaliable.

It comes on pretty much every gun I've checked. So pretty much, anyone can be running around using it on any kit and eliminate most of the bonus from going prone and sneaking around the ground. It's really great for those cheap kills where you shoot someone's feet and stuff. It's 1x, so snipers wouldn't find it too useful, unless the sniper ones also come with high magnitude ones? That would be really strong... It's amazing that it works in pretty much all light levels, and like chronix said basically has little disadvantage over a normal RDS. Only one I can think of off the top of my head is that tactical flashlights at close range will basically blind you if you are aiming down the sight with it, which is not necessary if you are that close anyway.
Once this becomes more popular, you can basically say bye to hiding in a bushes and tall grass as long as your opponents are vigilant. It makes seeing people through any sort of brush very easy, since as long as any part of them is visible they will be lit up like Times Square.

Hate to spam and whine like a little bitch :/ But did any of you guys have any problem connecting? If so, what did fix it..
