I DLed the beta and was completely unable to play it, ran terribly, aim felt awful, framerate was unnaceptable even on lowest settings. Were these things optimized out or is it in a similar state of performance? My comp has run every single new release maxed or near maxed so its not the problem barring some hardware incompatibility. Beta just ran terribly. | ||

Beta just ran terribly. Did you download the BF3-optimised drivers from AMD/Nvidia? Those fixed the problems for me in the beta. From what I gather in this thread, the final release is more stable and more polished. | ||

This makes me sad and angry. You do in fact need origin open, and you need to be logged in Ramong. Probe I think it's a server side issue, I noticed some servers crashing every time the map switches. The TL server was crashing, and then Freelancer just started restarting it every time the round ended because he was trying to fix it some how. It happens to me too, but not on all the servers, and not after every round. | ||

They changed the damage on nearly everything except the m16(not sure if it applies to its Russian counter-part) which is really, really strong. The majority of the time you can see someone and shoot them 4-5 times and if they have an m16 they can turn and kill you with 2-3 upper-body shots. I know pistols in beta used to be amazing, but they're not anymore. The starting ones aren't, at least. You can body shot someone with the bolt-action rifle and it still takes 4-5 upper body shots to kill them if they rush you after the shot compared to the beta's 2. I guess Assault really just needed something that made it stand out in combat because other than healing/resurrecting it's a pretty bland kit. I suppose the extra damage and lower recoil is that something. | ||
