Is anyone else stuck with never-ending battle music?
I tried searching through the thread and couldn't find anything, but a google search shows that some other people are having the same problem (no working solutions yet). I'm pretty sure it was triggered while doing the final Stormcloak quest in Solitude. Some enemies that I was in combat with no longer exist, so now the game believes I'm running away from something all the time and it wont shut off the battle music, despite everything else being normal.
Tried fast travelling, killing myself, getting in combat and leaving it with something else, closing and reloading the game, restarting computer, going on a murderous rampage because this shit is driving me insane.. etc. Nothing works.
Music muted for now, which is a shame because I really like the soundtrack except that stupid battle theme.

I just save->quit->reload

Wasn't planning on getting this game, but over this Thanksgiving break I commandeered my brother's copy for a few days. Finally ended up going out to get it cuz I just find it amazingly fun. I've gotten to lvl 20 making my main specs sneak/archery. I'm a freaking sniper and it's awesome.
+ Show Spoiler +Just assassinated the Emperor and established the Dawnstar Sanctuary for the Dark Brotherhood, which is funny cuz I am a member of the Imperial Guard. I wanna go back to Solitude to do more Imperial quests, but haven't decided if I'm gonna pay off the bounty (~3000 from the assassination of the emperor decoy) or go to jail and try to break out.
I haven't touched any crafting yet though. I'm not sure if I will with this character or with my next one. I also haven't decided if I want to go with heavy armor/weapons or magic for my next character.
I played Morrowind briefly years ago, but I didn't quite understand the point of it at the time, and I never played Oblivion. Props to Bathesda though, this is an amazing game.

Yea the first 25 hours it went no problem. But now my character is level 25ish and the game freezes like once every 25 minutes. Its becoming unplayable.

Breaking out of jail isn't worth it except to unlock the achievement Much easier to pay off your fine (or just wait in jail if you don't mind losing skill progress), just put all your stolen items in a box somewhere so you don't have to steal them back from the chest ^_^

Iron daggers aren't worth much so you might as well hold onto them.

Its not lagging its just frozen. The screen doesn't even move. I hope they make a patch for this.

+ Show Spoiler [Quite a few pics] + Tee hee, Illusion/Conjuration mage is best mage. Sadly I found it difficult to capture the mages shooting icicles at each other from the different areas of the castle or the deathlord chasing after them.
Doubly sadly I don't have max range for summoning Atronachs yet, or I'd just be adding further to the chaos.

Okay, so the second utility would be useless if I drank it but I promise you- I could wreck shit with my unleveled two handed. You can focus on crafting alone and be very good. In fact, it's regular skills that are ineffectual in comparison imo.
this shouldn't be possible unmodded~~
should cap at about 141%

Under Gameplay Settings, there's a difficulty meter (Novice -> Apprentice -> Adept (Default) -> Expert -> Master).

anybody else playing without hud? i just turned it off and i have to say it really adds to the immersion factor too often before i felt like i was playing gta or something with my eyes fixated straight on the compass/ floating questmarkers instead of the beautiful world. i kinda wish though there would be a hotkey to turn the hud back on when im fighting bosses/ dragons. but together with my custom soundtrack of epic rpgs and nordic folk music:p im really loving the experience!
not loving the random crashes im getting though:/
