This confuses me, i thought other benchmarks showed skyrim only effectively utilizing 2 cores, or 4 threads at like half usage? Why is the 3960 so far ahead? There is more to CPU performance than cores and clockspeed you know.

That took me literally like 9-10 reloads before it went correctly.
Just keep trying. It's buggy as hell but it's worth it.

No, actually you need to get the special request in Windhelm if I recall correctly. You meet with a Khajiit or something that increases all the fences inventory. To get that special request you need a certain number (maybe 1-3) of those generic quests to be in Windhelm.

Finally finshed the main quest after getting my mage to lvl 52.
I have to say, I was pretty disappointed. It felt way too short and the ending was sort of non-existent. Comparing it to Oblivion's epic ending, it just peters out. + Show Spoiler + also seemed very easy, but that's probably because my character was so strong. I definitely think they could've added another chunk of plot & story to the main quest, but maybe that's just me. I can't wait for some good mods to come out. I've already installed the aesthetics ones fixing facial/body details, the enhanced night sky one, and the improved blood textures.

Has anyone else had problems loading up Skyrim?! It sticks at the loading screen but never loads the game. The only way to close the program is ctrl alt delete. + Show Spoiler +Sorry for posting on this page and the last page, I know a few people have been experiencing this problem so any help would be very helpful.

I'm not sure the exact number of side jobs needed as I haven't got there yet but my friend has and I've seen the merchants when I was watching him play.

It is based on a certain amount done per city. Again, you get a special request in 4 cities then 1 final one.

i had no clue about this problem and while i don't really have anything to offer for advice on how to fix it : (...
i'd just like to remind you to keep the drivers for your graphics card up to date (unless you have a firm idea of what specific beta drivers you want for performance boosts and such) and anything else you think your game would tap into.
keep in mind that the game is about to receive a new patch (if it hasn't already) for 1.2 in the following thanksgiving week
also you can just press ctrl + shift + esc for task manager ^O^

Damn, that guy + Show Spoiler +Malkoran, the necromancer boss from the Break of Dawn quest is hard! Perhaps I was underleveled, underequipped, misskilled or something. Anyway, I was unable to defeat him and after around 20 attempts I had to resort to reducing game difficulty to finally beat him. + Show Spoiler +Seriously, that dude is totally imba. The shade minions aren't much of a problem, but his frost spells sure are. If they don't one-hit kill you, they slow you to a crawl. And when you think you have him beaten, you get your ass kicked by his ghostly undead form. How is an archer supposed to combat him?

Why are bears not dragons? Bear kills me in three hits and can take like 50 arrows and one-hand axes.
The dragon? Dies to my shout and some whacks and I can outheal its flames.

Bethesda says they keep main quest content levelled so even the worst players can beat that. Doesn't make it any less silly though

"bear will avoid attacking unless provoked" Fucking lies man.

So I'm planning on downloading this for my laptop, I want to have something to play when I'm on the move but I'm not sure if it can run it. The requirements that I found on the net seemed a little vague. I'm pretty clueless about system requirements like this, so I was hoping someone here might be able to help me.
My laptop has
4GB RAM AMD Turion x2 Dual-core Mobile RM-74 ~2.2GHz Processor ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 Graphics card (it's probably fucking terrible, it's a built-in one that I got with the laptop)
It can run SC2 and League of Legends on low settings with a decent FPS. Do you think I could run this game on my laptop smoothly at the lowest possible graphics settings without issues?

How I did it So I saw them standing giving their back to me like that, well, that's good guys, sneaked behind, and 1 by one I killed them with x15 dagger hits, did it at the firt try

Dragon just attacked Riverrun and killed Alvor and his wife, leaving the child behind without any parents ;(
I feel really bad idk what to do lol, the kid runs up to one parent and starts crying, then sees the other and does it again.
That was the second dragon to hit Riverrun as well =/

I really dont get it, it must be I dont have fire/frost resistances, but bears are very easy to me kitting them with the terrain. While dragons, I cant kill them if I am alone.

No resistances for me.
Elder Dragons rape me.
