Since the last COD I played was COD4 I was working up to the AK thinking it would own, and sadly it seems quite bad in this game.
The Famas and Aug seem to be the best rifles in the game. Just by pure rate of fire they seem so much better than the Galil and AK. Not sure if its map size or hit reg or what but it just feels like you are destined to die faster to those guns and kill faster with them. I don't have the Commando yet so who knows
The Galil owns on the large open snow map, its just really bad on EVERY other map.

It's 50/50 to run it smoothly. Even high end pcs have problems, but they haven't found out why.
They are working on a patch ETA this week.

I'll enjoy Modern Warfare 2 because all the cheaters left to play Black Ops. That's funny, because the same could be said for MW2. atleast in MW2 weapons were different. proof is that some weapons (like the UMP) are so incredibly overpowerd it's just noobish to use them. In black ops all the weapons feel the same and sound alike. I bet ppl will be bored of black ops really fast because of the above reasons and also (you might not notice it without someone telling you) but it seems like they used beautiful colors and then put an annoying brown filter on the camera making it look very unappealing.
I bet you haven't even tried all the weapons yet.

I love this game. I play it on PC, hit first prestige last night and working my way back up!
I had the stuttering problem for 2 days following launch but now its 95% smooth with some stutters here and there but nothing to get crazy over.
I am not to familiar with the previous CoDs but I would have prefered bigger servers, as in more people, 18 doesnt seem enough to me. I love frag fests and small maps.
I find joining/inviting friends to games to be a hassle at the moment, and it sucks that you can't always play together because it auto balances the teams between maps. Seeing as how I usually finish top 3 on my team and my friend(s) the same, we rarely get placed on the same teams =/
Although I do understand why it's there and the pros outweight the cons.
Aftering being away from PC FPSs for a while I'd soon be looking into official team skrims a bit like gamebattles, should be fun!

Lets be honest, even if the servers randomly lag for everyone, The fact we have servers make it the best COD since the original MW. I'd even say that once they work out all the kinks the PC version is superior to MW. i've played all the COD's (cept world @ war) and playing this game is the most fun i've had since COD2

So is this game fixed on the PC yet? Thinking about picking it up this week but if multiplayer is still super laggy like everyone says I'm just not gonna buy it at all

Don't think zombie mode has came up yet? Am I the only who enjoys playing it with my friends? Then on top of that I get buddy of mine and play split screen over the interweb.
Edit, the wager match game modes are fun too.

Multiplayer is not laggy at all - unless you have a dated pc and/or poor connection.

Im sure its been said before, but I would just like to second it... it being the fact that black ops will not run on my pc (gateway FX gaming laptop) and I am very pissed off. I cant understand why the game is so pc intensive yet looks about as good as codmw2.
I will be hoping a patch comes out that allows me to adjust more than just the shadows and the bullet impacts so that I can play this choppy lag filled p.o.s. lul

I knew a guy on CoD 4 who absolutely loved the game. Then after he got to be a 10th prestige 55, spent the time to get all the golden guns, and had dozens of days worth of play time, he said that he hated the game and that it sucked.

prestige stuff just a trickle down from the console stuff since they have hardly any real competitive platform to go to once they've accustomed themselves to the game afaik, they just pub some more or team pub. Then they decided to add leveling and then useless leveling ontop of that.

I might but I can't say it until I get prestige 10. btw I already saw a lvl 15 prestige yesterday on the PC 100% he ranked hacked it.

I have it on Xbox and I've seen two prestiged people so far. I'm only level 41 atm.

Famas and Galil is up there for me. I really think the galil is the best gun in the game, that 5 extra bullets makes all the difference.

I've seen 15th prestige people too, obivously hacked!
I've seen 2nd and 3rd prestige people on PC quite a bit though.

On MW2 literally after every game I'd get a voicemail from a ten year old saying that he could glitch me to tenth prestige. I really hope that doesn't happen on Black Ops.
Though, it would be a good drinking game.

One cool thing about the leaderboards is that you can check who has cheated.

I just reported everyone up there, not sure how well they monitor it, but it's pretty obvious when people are cheating.
