haha ya same here. What's funny is PETA said they are happy that they put him in. Wonder if they even realize it was more of a way of mocking them.

I got to world 2-15 or something like that. The game is really fun and hard.
Boss 1 took me the longuest but when you control you air acceleration it becomes more easy.
I'd try it again with a joystick next time tho.
A and S also work. I actually use Shift for run and S for jump.
I use the exact same settings. Both shift/space and a/s felt off, and my hand just naturally did it while I was playing. And the controls felt unresponsive when I started, but now it feels great. Excellent purchase, they really brought it up a level from the newgrounds game.

LOL at tofu boy...that was a stroke of genius! the designers of Super Meat Boy are really up with it! Been playing it since it was released, i agree that you have to have a decent keyboard to play it. to whoever said the jumping is unresponsive, either change the key for jump or get a better keyboard. the jump is sooo responsive and totally depends on how long you hold it down. just reached the 4th world today and beat the Dark world in the forest. working on dark world hospital now some of the levels r so goddamn tricky! but very fun still :D
Genius game. You feel like great controls in a 2D platformed should be pretty easy, and yet 1 minute with this game makes you realize how inferior the controls of 95% av all other platformers actually are. The difficulty is at times approaching hilarity, but the game is so forgiving with deaths that it rarely ever gets annoying, even when you die 50 times on the same level.
So much content for the money you are paying too. I'm going for 100% on each chapter before advancing, and at 11+ hours played I'm only about 2/3rds of my way through chapter 4 (of I believe at least 7).

Easily one of the top 3 games this year.
Only 50 times? Wait until later.
And ya. What's funny is there's so much content NOW, but they are going to be releasing even more, in the ways of the Editor, and Character Specific levels for The Kid and Commander Video.
Free DLC chapters made specifically for Commander Video and The Kid will also be made available in early 2011, along with a "best of" user-submitted level pack, featuring 20 levels created by PC/Mac players.

Well, there are a few levels I have probably died more on. The glitch level in chapter one was pretty cruel (all of the glitch levels have been, but that's the worst so far). Still, I don't have any problems dieing a lot more than that though for later on. I remember a challenge in VVVVVV that took like 500 tries or so to get down and it was one of the best parts of the game
I hope they make Tofu boy a real character, meaning he is on the character selection list instead of having to type 'petaphile' every time.
I also hope that other characters will eventually have blood (when they die).
Team Meat is really cool, since release i have seen bug fixes, headcrab's blood changing from red to yellow and tofu boy. That just shows that they care about the game and not just making money out of it, i hope to see more awesome updates. :D

Well the thing about this is, there's no checkpoint in the middle of the levels. Some levels are pretty long, like the Glitch ones. The very end level of the game there's a level that is quite long, the par is 45seconds, and you'll spend I'd say roughly 30 seconds getting to a point where you are likely to die.
I guess what I'm saying, is the level gets progressively harder the further in you get in it, so yes the first 5 seconds are easy, the next 5 are harder, then the next 5 are even harder, and so on. So if you get to the last part of the level, and die, well you have to trek through the whole level to just get back to that point, likely to die again in the process or at that point again.
And speaking of VVVVVV, I really need to play it through. I bought it in that Steam sale, and then this got released so I never got around to playing it that much.

Both Super Meat Boy and VVVVVV sparked this urge in me to keep pushing to get better and better, its a really nice way to learn precision timing and well.. patience :p
The Veni Vidi Vici part from VVVVVV specially. And dare I say its name.. uuughh... I'll just say cotton and leave it at there.
The controls are very responsive, but digital controls are just bad for a game like this. Having to use multiple keys to control your movement in midair, for example, instead of an analog stick.
Definitely a step up from the Newgrounds original, a very recommended must-buy here. Just as hard as I remember it too, ugh.

Yeah, that's the one I was talking about. Absolutely pure evil.

what are the glitch levels?
Randomly the Bandaid girl will start glitching out, you just have to finish the level and get to her without dying to unlock it for that world. Its in each world, not sure if its in the dark world as well.
Edit: LOOOOOOOOL, was gonna link a picture of bandage girl glitching out.. Don't type bandage girl glitching in google, its a bit.. NSFW haha
