My approach is completely different. I've been trying to get high in the leaderboards each time I get to a new level. Sadly it seems that there are some other characters that are better than meatboy in a lot of levels. So working on those first might be better. I refuse to use anything else than Meat Boy till I'm at least done with the game, I tested out that Video Game guy a bit didn't really fancy him too much, he's probably really good at getting bandages tho. But meat boy prevails!
There's actually a warp that I'm pretty sure requires him. I'm also pretty sure there are some bandages and stuff you might need some characters to get.

Commander Video is awesome in the Bit.Trip games, but I don't like him too much in Super Meat Boy ![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif) But I love the game :D

Is it so more accurate/enjoyable to play with a controler w/ joystick? I always wanted to buy one anyway (so I can play ocarina of time on my pc), but this might be the right motivation to do it.

No, of course an analog stick isn't going to be better. Digital pad or proper (arcade) joystick.

'Stuck' on world 2 boss.
Also, Keniji, I recommend getting a 360 controller. Works pretty nice with Super Meat Boy and can be used with plenty other games (Dead Space, for example).

I'd say it comes down to personal preference, I can see why some people prefer the analog stick, tried it out for a few levels but it just wasn't for me. The D-pad ftw! (Using ps3 controller with MotioninJoy Dualshock 3 tool)

Using an analog stick may be more enjoyable (subjective) but it won't be more accurate (objective). There are only 8 directional inputs in the game so using an input device with more than 8 inputs is objectively worse.

How are you stuck? ![](/mirror/smilies/puh2.gif)
Also the cutscene after you beat that boss is hilarious.

It made me sad. I wanted to be friends with the boss since I saw him, he looked so happy jumping around.

This actually looks like a really cool game, I'm not the biggest on platformers (mostly 'cause I don't have a lot of time and suck at them in general), but I think I might dive for this one. Too bad I didn't pick it up for $10 earlier

I'm not really that big into platformers either but man let me tell you this is an exception. I played through it, beat it and I'm now going back through it for the band aids and dark worlds. Sooooooo fun.

I really gotta stop spending so much time going for the quickest score. damn you leaderboards.

The 2nd warp hole on level 2 the hospital, I beat it, I swear I did, but I didn't get credit for it. wtf?

Does this use arcade style controls, like would it benefit from an arcade stick?

I play on a TE, it's pretty great.

A very very hard game harder then super meatboy, only because of how cheap it is and it's pure memorization though.
Still appropriate that his would easily be the hardest warp zone

Get a Wii! Super Meat Boy will be out on Wii, and then you can also play Ocarina of Time on it with the classic controller(or Gamecube controller)
