Horde is also kick ass. Halo Reach: This is the only Halo game that I will suggest. I played the other halo campaigns and they were terrible. Resident Evil 5: A very good game Army of 2: The first and second. Fuckin' epic game, lots of fun. I rocked the shotgun the entire way through, even though I was told to piss off. Loved it. wow I just realized this is for Computers. Maybe it's still okay if I use it for xbox games? I agree with all of these. The Army of Two series was amazing and its not well known sadly. Probably the best coop shooting game I've played with my brother. Its a bit short though, we beat the first game in one day ~7 hours. Left 4 Dead is always fun to play with a group of people. Probably best if both of you got it on steam and play it online with other people. RTS games are very fun to play as well with your brother. Age of empires, starcraft, warcraft, all great games for coop play or LAN play. Team up against an AI or play custom maps on them.

If you both have a PSP, I'd highly recommend Phantasy Star Portable 2. If you've never played Phantasy Star, it's a bit like Borderlands/Diablo in the item collecting way, though gameplay is like a 3rd person Borderlands versus Diablo style gameplay. It comes with a throwaway story that's much more enjoyable playing through solo than I found Borderlands, but of course coop is where it's at. Unfortunately chat it pretty gimped, but if you're playing in the same room, it shouldn't be a problem to communicate between the two of you, and it's not hard to string short quick phrase sentences if you're playing online. Or if you're talking PC exclusively, all official servers have been taken down, but I know of at least one decent server that's up; shouldn't be hard to find if you Google it.

Quake 2 was also fun to play in co-op mode.. And Rampage. That was awesome. Also that Beavis and Butthead game for the SNES or w/e.

I am surprised I am the first one to say this... These games are made for co-op. Cheap, critical acclaim and damn fun! click for trailer

It's very much Diablo-like, sports very decent graphics, an interesting setting (ancient mythology), a very flexible class system and item hunting to boot. The Coop mode allows for up to 6 players in a party. Greatly enjoyed playing the campaign in Coop and it costs only 10 bucks on steam, expansion included.

Quite fun. 100% this, me and a friend played this for AGESSSSSSSS, like 3-4 hours a level till we had everything figured out, and it was hilarious cause we'd just bitch and call each other useless fucks till we both died then be like alright bro lets do this shit, then when you finally finish a level after hours upon hours of bitching, the reward is great.
