When Peter’s was asked “Why abaondon such a successfull format as gvg?”, he replied,
I’m not so sure gvg is all that successful…its a little too complex and little too hardcore
Hum wtf ? I never played gvg at über super high lvl like everyone here but that was by no means hardcore and i wasn't playing some gimmicky build. Freaking useless devs selling their souls to the casuals devil -.-

I just picked up GW again because i cant wait for this WoW / Rift has me bored stupendously (i cant even play them / cancelled subs) GW is still awesome after all this time, so different and so much better IMO
Lost my account details so im starting from scratch (bye bye rank 11 HA ) but im just going to try to clear all the Pve i didnt manage to in the past (end of factions campaign - nightfall - eye of the north and any other new stuff) as i quit after nightfalls release and never really pve'd very much anyway..
Good to see such hype about GW2!
P.S is team legacy a euro squad also? if so i might apply
|
Absolutely. We have a pretty strong Euro squad, actually.

An interview of Lead Designer at gamescom by Yogscast, damn i <3 those doods. First part is just some info about gw, the interview itself starts at about 6:00

I love seeing all these videos and reading all these articles and then being constantly reminded via interviews and whatnot that this game will not be pay to play. *giggle*

I was really hyped about this game. But no GvG? Seriously, how about you put it in anyway and then we decide whether we find it to difficult or not. It isn't like anyone is forcing people to play GvG...
I am seriously doubting whether I want to buy this game now. Which considering the time I spend on GW 1 I think is a shame.
Well, hopefully there will at least be something like HA. Because if this objective oriented 4v4 stuff is all there is I have lost all interrest in this game.

Yup, its mind boggling. This game is ridiculously good, and anet could charge monthly and still (probably) not lose many customers, and yet they choose not to. Many MMO's have been lauded as 'wow killers', and didnt even make a dent in WoW's playerbase, but I dont think any of them have been free to play. Maybe this one will finally be it

This game was starting to look so good that i could even put up with the crappy japfag character art, but no gvg.... wtf... that was easily the best thing going for this game. Oh well byebye competition, good luck beating wow now.

Yes, we have a strong EU base. Matter of fact, as of lately I dare say some of our most experienced players all come from EU.
Of course we have a casual "Div2" division for intelligent up and coming arena players, but its few and far between on the EU side.
In any case, I can't wait for PAX!

*evil look

This elementalist is my hero, mainly because he/she showed so much skill on the build I want to roll, which is the close combat scepter or dagger/dagger build, I'm in awe :O!!!

im prety sure if they are serious about toppling wow, they will implement GvG at some point

The TL in the thread title 'Guild Wars 2: TL Guild/Discussion' does not stand for Team Liquid, but for Team Legacy? That's pretty misleading, considering that one of the primary forums on TeamLiquid.net is named 'TL Community', and, as one would expect, stands for TeamLiquid Community.
This is the TL discussion thread, but it is not the TL guild thread. Can a mod change the title? I'm not sure what to change it to though.. this thread seems to be a strange combination of an advertisement for a guild separate from TeamLiquid and the Guild Wars 2 discussion thread.
The obvious solution is to split up the thread: Guild Wars 2 (as with the Diablo 3 thread, another upcoming and highly anticipated game with lots of relevent discussion), and a TeamLegacy GW2 Guild advertisement thread. No, advertisements such as that are not permitted here. Has TeamLegacy hijacked the Guild Wars 2 discussion thread, and mods just don't bother to do anything about it? Perhaps the mods are a part of TeamLegacy, or endorse it over other guilds that may want to advertise.
GW2: TeamLegacy Guild / Discussion? Or is that too long? Perhaps specific guilds should not attach themselves to game discussion threads.

That does not change the matter of the thread title being misleading -- one would assume that they were given permission to use the name TeamLiquid for the guild, reading the title.
Nor does it change the strange hybrid of specific guild recruitment/advertisement thread, and 'official' (for only one can exist) TL game discussion thread.
Edit: Who are 'they'? The leaders of a Guild existing in Guild Wars 1? An already existing community? If so, then they are absolutely using the TL community to further their own personal guild and community. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that: why should TeamLiquid give such prime advertisement to only them?
