I'm hoping it's going to work as well under Wine as the original one. Should work for Mac this way too.

The game has a ways to go before it comes out, that forum is simply to help pass the time. Updated memberlist.

Just wondering one thing tho, is it eventually gonna be a closed guild? Would be a shame if everyone could join... wouldn't want to be the biggest guild on the server. Definitely the most decent but certainly not overpopulated ^.^

Were not requiring anyone be active there, and frankly, if it were between that forum and TL.net, id want 99% of your time on Tl.net. Updated memberlist. I believe I did... and I just checked too. Posted: Wed Sep 29, 2010 5:12 pm

I like the guild rules and policy. Just wondering one thing tho, is it eventually gonna be a closed guild? Would be a shame if everyone could join... wouldn't want to be the biggest guild on the server. Definitely the most decent but certainly not overpopulated ^.^ The current active memberlist is less than 75. In gw1 the max was 100. In that group as well you have those who do not wish to run PVP, and will be in a sub-guild with a similar name, connected by alliance chat for gear runs/instances/raids. I can forsee the time we will have to cut the guild recruitment, but so far, while populated, the guild is still accepting new TL members.

Also: i read somewhere that there wouldn't be a dedicated healer profession, does that mean that the monk has been scrapped or reworked?

Also: i read somewhere that there wouldn't be a dedicated healer profession, does that mean that the monk has been scrapped or reworked? Most likely not, since in gw1 Anet's full inspiration for the class was the Cleric of DnD only with an asian look/theme they will be back with even more lazers. Smiting could actually become a useful spec for the gw2 monk, but keep in mind that even in gw1 only half the monks were actually healers, prot specced monks can technically be classified as support characters and Anet is mostly playing with the fans, the class will most likely be the same. I'm also too lazy to look for it, but the weapons problem for the monk is bugging me: in gw2 there won't be any unarmed combat, and in the announced weapon pool there aren't too many classic monk weapons.

Asian monks (dnd monks) are often seen wielding quarterstaffs but no maces, western clerics (dnd cleric) are pretty much always using maces, and staves are pretty uncommon on them. Again, the GW1 was more dnd inspired mechanics-wise than most people think.

I completely agree with this. Even as i play now im findnig new bugs that you would think would have been fixed long ago. It doesnt change my stance and optimism for gw2 though,
