If you really want to powerlevel then it is possible. I don't feel I play that much (a couple of hours on launch day, 8-10 hours on Saturday and 8 hours today) and I already at 33. If I play like 16 hours I would be a lot higher than that.

So did people feed him crafting materials while he quested etc?

In gw1 you could type /played and see how many hours you had been online, anyone know if there is something similar in gw2?

I need some advice: I do not understand this game or what its about but am interested
I am a fps gamer, and had a 2700 rated toon in wow. Whats is this game about? Is it a mmo? Is it purely heros and pvp? Is there a pve world like in wow? Can someone describe the game?? All ive seen in youtube videos of pvp that seems highly flashy...which isnt the worst thing to me
I would get into this game if its worth it... what is the game kinda like and what is there to do.

Its a rather relaxing MMO, at least by my standards.
I'm not as hardcore about MMO's as I used to be so it's a great change of pace.

Seems to be typical launch issues, well, this isnt even launch. Perhaps its why they did 3 day headstart, only powernerds will pay the £15 extra for it (yes, i can get it for £35 compared to £50 for headstart omgwtf.)D Eh I got the 3 day headstart for 43.40€ which is less than 35£. Powernerd that.
Where can u buy the game for this low :O?

It's a finnish store though.
Also whats the deal with defense/toughness, can't seem to find any good explanation of stats in game and GW2 site is down. Do they reduce all damage or just physical or what?

I would get into this game if its worth it... what is the game kinda like and what is there to do. It's an MMO, and yes, it has a huge PvE world where you can level, do quests and hang out. The game has a strong focus on PvP, but the PvE parts are good enough that even if you have no intrerest in PvP, it's worth playing. If you love PvP, then all the better, the game is completely balanced around it.

Game is fun, but for me personally, there are some drawbacks. You level way too fast by just standing in areas with a lot of public events andway too slow by just grinding or even doing simple quests. They do have some creative quests, but some of them are just plain annoying. I mean, the quest at the charr meat-fair or whatever it is called. Run through the town, take a beer from the thingy and give it to one of 2 thirsty soldiers. repeat. till. over. Yay. Or feeding insects to cows. Try to get one of the 4 spawning insects, with 600 people trying the same. SO much fun.
Why not just team up with your whole guild, spread out to every possible event location, if one starts, get people over and kill the event. Not so much fun, but so much more effect.
The crafting is seriously underdeveloped. I tried to get my armorsmithing up when i leveled. I am level 20 now and my smithing is 45. I am in the 15-25 area of ascalon, and all i can mine is iron. But i still need copper for all i craft, and the level requirment for the things i can do is 20. Whaaaaaaaat? Additionally, getting all the stuff for level 25 crafting from the start, but not the stuff i actually need, suxx! I've got 70 shimmering dust from the ghosts, but i don't need that. argh.
And last, imho the biggest killer of fun, the overflow-servers. That has to be the worst idea ever. So, 4 friends of mine tried to team up, we are all different races, so we gathered in the norn territory to help level the lowest of us. It took us about an hour to get in the same server. The function to switch to the overflow server of the other does not work. Then someone got disconnected /client crashed, repeat the process. Seriously

So this is basicly wow but balanced and geared solely towards pvp rather then pve? That sounds great. Is there alot of depth??? I dont enjoy 2-3 button mashing games need to be able to setup kills creatively and adaptively...
Sounds kinda like bloodline champions but in wowish terms.. What is the point of pvp.. is there things to win or ladder or anything to shoot for by being good?

Seriously Agreed... but the overflow stuff has to be a bug, there's supposed to be a "join" button on your partymembers portraits, but it never shows up for me and my friend... it was ridiculous how we could stand in Divinitys reach together, run out the door at the exact same time, and still end up in different overflows without anyway to join in.

If you want to level crafting, discover new recipes. It's waaay faster than just crafting orange stuff. Blame ANet for not giving a discovery tutorial. I kind of assumed it was for higher level crafting when I first saw it.
Haven't had a problem with overflow since I left the 1-15 areas. Then again, I am ahead of the entire guild. About to hit 41 right now.
