Most likely going to be wiped.

I left the starting area at level 14.
Also, going into ANY game thinking it's going to be "that game" that revolutionizes everything forever is going to leave you disappointed 100% of the time, no matter what.

Except this time. It totally revolutionized everything. It's similar to no other game I've played and feels so right.

I like what someone said earlier.
It makes a lot of subtle, and seemingly obviously necessary changes to the MMO genre that compound on each other.
It does not do one "revolutionary" thing, but altogether it's a fantastic experience from what it changes.

No I totally agree, im not saying I wasnt skeptical but the devs are so freaking enthusiastic about their game its hard not to get pumped.
It was way worse than with TOR even, honestly for TOR it was as good as I expected and im still enjoying it, the devs kept saying that its all about the story, and thats what that game is about
I was just making the point that i was certainly not going into this game with a negative frame of mind.

I honestly think that feeling will wear off and dynamic events will just start to feel like a different way to go about questing. Im still pumped about them but I can imagine some of them feeling like a burden like questing does sometimes (actually some of them already do feel like a burden)
I dunno i went back to my necro im in Diessa plateau or w/e its called now, just starting there im assuming i am out of the norn area now?

Congrat on taking Dreaming Bay!!!
I saw you guys on lining up siege weapons on the cliff (how did you get up, by the way ) and I was amazed. Your stream also so good when the wall broke down. I will always remember the Dreaming Bay.
GG, and Congrat again!

So in human area, was I the only one having a little trouble finding spots to level at times? Like the events you can go with the hearts to help out seemed few and had to hope events would pop out more so that you could level. Dunno seemed harder to level so to speak but w/e had a really fun time and can't wait for the game to be released ^_^.

If that will be the standard of wvw... That was one of the most interesting things I have seen in a MMO. A lot of action, so much strategy and even though the final siege took 2 hours it was engaging to listen to how much coordination it took with several groups doing special tasks and even the coordination needed in the main group.
Just have to say wow.

Yes, you were forced to either grind mobs or rerun events several times to keep up with levels progress vs your zone progress. Needs fixing.

are we keeping these characters for the next beta event or full wipe?

This.
We totally need a different chat system, the local channel touch a too spread area. And it's one of the things that will kill the roleplaying for sure, no really "local" talk.
In the same thing we can't make our characters walk, they just run :/

the moment of truth... how bad were you guys this weekend?

are the servers supposed to be down, because im still online, but i see no one else around

Click down both mouse buttons and you walk.

The Norn's personal story wasn't all that interesting for me, but it's starting area was the best one I saw. running around into the world event like an outdoor raid, seeing the dynamic events chain, cool and amazing and the most engaging MMO experience feeling since the years WoW first came out. Longbow/Greatsword swapping on a Ranger was my surprising favorite of the classes so far.

nope , you run too , he refers to "walk slower than normal" if you like it better.
walk and say is huge loss for anyone into RP , im ok with not being able to sit at taverns(should be coming in the future too)... but these 2 missing means no RP at all as walking made you recognise fellow RPers and say (and chat bubbles) is what you need in order to RP
i think they fear people spamming the chat so they didnt put bubbles , but maybe bubbles on party chat only and between party members could be a great addition.

Our server went a little overboard with the Moa killing.
