Actions will speak louder than words. Editing the ini files is ridiculous to take action against so I assume this is En Masse Entertainment not knowing what the fuck they are talking about. Game is pretty broke without editing ini files. I believe the official stance is that it is not supported. So if you fuck yourself over, EME will not help you there. Texture edits fall within similar category. | ||

These are configuration files strictly for the purpose of user configurations. When you are setting options within the game, guess what, you are editing files. Technically changing anything in the option menus is actionable by this logic. | ||

Add Antialiasing with SMAA Injector: Do above FXAA fix! DISABLE NVIDIA/ATI AA! (it doesn't work anyways) Download: https://sites.google.com/site/mrhaandi/injectSMAA_by_mrhaandi_1.2.7z Extract dx9 folder into: \TERA\Client\Binaries\ Toggle with Pause/Break to see Jaggies Appear/Vanish like Magic! (default is ON) ie: the line that says "DISABLE NVIDIA/ATI AA!", do i need to actually do anything for that line, or is it like a title. | ||

Unlike the NPC's in the game. This is totally EME's and Bluehole's first rodeo. So for official standpoints they are going to be really strict because they are terrified of a common exploit in there service shutting them down while simultaneously being non actionable. Commonly this is referred to as a deathblow bug. Since neither company wants to alienate (like EA with origin), no actions will ever be taken. You could probably full bore hack in tera for quite a long time before someone pulls the plug on you. Its ok. We have Patrick Wyatt with Tera development. He is from Blizzard Entertainment circa 2010 or so (lead dev of R&D actually). These guys know how to run an MMO in spirit. To give you an idea of how long of a leash we are given. Even after patching neither my INI tweaks nor my Elin de-censorship mods were reverted. The new patch used those files like an old friend, they are official files after all. EDIT: Also if you check there website, you will see a cavalcade of screenshots that could only have been taken with a lot of ini tweaks and stuff. So clearly EME supports it on some level. Just dont go complaining to them when your shit breaks. | ||

I wouldnt gripe about the censored textures if they werent downright awful. One briefs texture for like 30 sets whereas otherwise you get an actual set piece. This is just lazy. Other races armor is left fine. Though in western they have done away with nipples on the females. I could go either way on this. | ||

Also is the SMAA injector better than the FXAA from the nvidia driver panel in terms of both IQ and performance? Tera doesn't seem like a game where you can get away with low fps. | ||
