I don't know... Threat appears to decay quickly such that 1-2 large crits will often let you steal aggro. While a good lancer will taunt back right away, if you have a group of high DPS all running crit runes and they get a string of crits AND/OR taunts are used on various boss animations, a lancer may not be able to taunt back immediately. Requires melee DPS to stun accordingly.

Obtaining aggro is not a really big sin since the 180 spin most bosses do is easy to dodge when it doesnt bug out and constantly repeat itself.
What is a big sin is when the lancer cant get it back even though youve been just striking it in the face for 15 seconds. I dont even have my back crystals helping me out there.

Is the mob being chain stunned? That will decrease the lancer's aggro by about 20-30%. I would avoid stunning the mob unless it's about to do something nasty or the lancer is knocked down/has lost aggro.

Bosses are highly resistant to controls.

Something like a 10 edge Battle Cry almost never forces aggro to you even when it's pretty much a guaranteed stun.

It is hard to keep aggro, even in KTera. I've seen Zerkers or Slayers with +12 T13 weapons, and they get aggro in like 3-5 hits, it's insane. There's a limit of how much dps you want to build...anything that extreme is just...lol.

Well I'm not sure but I think that as soon as the Lancer sees the huge boss turning around he should be reacting with a taunt, and the moment that Lancer has every taunt on cooldown, well... Is that even possible?

It looks interesting. I'm enjoying just doing some quests, doing some gathering and doing some crafting. No hardcore mmo playing here either. Tho 4hours in an entire week might be a little though.

You can go pretty far on 4 hours a week, especially if you duo.

Anyone get to end-game PvP yet? If so how is it? Since this is home of many of us E-Sports fanatics I'm looking for opinions on how much potential there is for skill-based competition.

I lead a 5 man hitsquad for my guild on jagged coast and pvp is very fun if you're communicating well. If you don't focus fire, you won't get a kill. Everyone definitely has specialized roles in small group pvp.

Someone told me the next patch will let warriors queue as tank. I don't see it in the patch notes. That still happening?

That patch isn't out yet.
That patch has a number of changes/fixes. Lancer's Block and Warrior's dodges get a new resource to use, Stamina, though mechanics of it are as yet unknown. This, combined with a no-cooldown dodge on warriors, should allow them to 'tank' instances. I still have my doubts as to how competent most will be... but there we are.
In addition to a few balance changes, including a significant boost to Zerker front-end damage (in theory).
