Looking for more complicated stuff like yards given up or td's allowed takes more time and isn't necessarily that helpful either ><

I don't think the #8 pick is as bad as the #1 but picks in the #20s have good value. Are you all assuming the NFL would have a way better rookie scale after the draft? For background info, there's an excellent excerpt in SI about the value of top picks. The jist is that higher draft choices, especially the #1 pick, only pan out a little bit more often than slightly lower picks but get paid a lot more. The #25 should be almost as good as the #8 but will cost a lot less.

With that being said, most would rather be IN the stadium then out. Still, paying $200 to sit on the grass is a ripoff. I could just go to the local park and set up a projector with a sheet between two trees and have the same thing for free. Granted, I'd be sitting in the snow when it's like 5 degrees and freeze my ass off, but I doubt that an early February night in Arlington is going to be 75 degrees. not even just a division rival and everything else - just wanting your team to lose for a chance on a draft pick. that's retarded and you really arent a fan in the first place, and im sure you're not a seahawks fan so i get where you're coming from, but that mentality seriously sucks. you gotta stay behind your team and hope they win no matter what

If they were like 3-12 going into the game, however, I'd be all for them losing. The goal of FB is to win the SB, I don't give a crap if my teams shitty players and coach want a useless win to make them feel fuzzy for a day. Get a better pick and try to stop sucking. Rebuilding is in order. Not that I'm saying I'd want the team itself to feel that way... but as an outside follower I'd prefer a certain outcome.

This is a serious question I have no idea All I know is, this season any time a team would go against the Broncos, their #1 WR would get basically no fantasy points (except for Bowe's one fluke garbage time fest), mostly attributed to Bailey.

If we win the Super Bowl, then everything is personal. That's a slap back in those guys' face for trading me. Source Thoughts?

It was also largely due to the fact that his contract is up after this season and the Steelers dont typically pay big money to WRs. I agree, you'd think they could have gotten more than a 5th, basically a sixth round pick for him. However, we're not in that room, so who knows. If all they were asking was a fifth, I'd imagine more teams would have been in on it and they would have likely sent him to the NFC if they had options. At the same time though, at least they traded him to a contender. It's not like they traded him to Denver or something where he'd lose in every game.

EDIT: Just for the record, I am a big Holmes fan. He is big time clutch and is absolutely ridiculous. I was pretty sad when they actually traded him, seeing as I never thought it would happen, particularly for such a menial return. I particularly hope he just doesn't leave a mark this weekend.

I think his point was just to highlight that he didn't go to a poor team like Denver. I don't know that the rebuilding teams would even want to send a pick out for him, seeing as he's going to command huge money this offseason ( barring the lockout ). So they are basically sending a way a vital pick for rebuilding away to a guy that's going to tie up a significant chunk of cap, or walk.

Holy shit. I wanna know who was on his team. And how the hell he managed to get AP, Arian Foster, Dwayne Bowe, and Brandon Lloyd.

You could get foster for a reasonable deal til week 3, and week 7 n 13 people were selling Lloyd for reasonable offers. Trading AP or any top 5 pick is pretty dumb unless you're addressing injuries. "He has reportedly sold the gift card to his mother for $2,500 and intends to use the cash to help move his family into a new apartment." What a nice guy LOL Seems more sensible to me. If he had a house, I think he'd definitely take the gift card. I mean, a new laptop means nothing if you don't have a house.
