Brandon Marshall, you're the biggest trade bust ever. Supposed to add a passing attack that would help a young Qb develop, more like blow the largest play of the season by fumbling on the last drive and killing another drive that would have given Carpenter another shot to get it to OT.
Miami, please fire and kill Dan Henning and Sign Cowher as the Head Coach and over Sparano to OC.
It doesn't help when your QB is absolutely pathetic. You can't call a guy a trade bust after one year, or the biggest trade bust ever when Randy Moss was traded for and dropped in four weeks in the SAME SEASON. If they get a real QB in there, and someone who can call an offense, maybe Miami can win some more games next season.
I roflstomped my opponent behind Vick's 48 points. 120-75. Tough MU next week now, though. At least I'm there... I hope I can keep this guy from back-to-back Super Bowl wins. That's assuming that AP doesn't go off tonight. The game is within reach of a monster AP game; if there's any HB capable of overcoming a 118-82 deficit, it's AP. Still, I doubt it'll happen.
I feel pretty confident going into the Super Bowl... Vick gets Minny, CJ gets KC which will be a tough match I think, Ronnie Brown gets Detroit or Bush vs Indy if I can't get DMC, Wayne's MU scares me vs Oak, but Johnson v NE should be solid... I really wish that Dez wasn't hurt right now, or that Favre or TJack were throwing to Rice. TB's D gets Seattle next week, which should be a good game for them. His team is extremely stacked, but I've beaten him before, so hopefully I will again.

I don't know if I'd call him pathetic... he's still a kid.
I always thought Miami got a great deal of value of its players, but the problem was that the players were just on the whole, not that good. No one on either side of the ball blows you away there; all average/above average guys.
Look at their draft history and compare it to New England, or even the Jets. Their signings and offseason stuff, outside of the Marshall trade (which was a good value, try finding that level of receiver with a 2nd), are pretty meh as well.
Who the fuck drafts Pat White in the 2nd?????

I think more so, who drafts Ted Ginn at #9? Their drafting for a few years was just absolutely pathetic.

I tried to not mention him because as bad as he is, my team viewed his signing as an improvement....
ah god, I hate the Niners. I've been trolling giants fans all day, saying how yesterday wasn't the worst collapse in history... that is my grand comeback. A game from when I was still in fucking high school.

Hi TL, Football newbie here. I just recently decided to start following and giving a shit about football and I have a few questions for you:
1. Where can I watch Football games online? Preferably live. I live with my GF who will definitely not surrender the TV for me to watch. So I'm curious if there are any alternatives.
2. Where are good places to play Fantasy Football at? NFL? Yahoo? I have no idea, as it would be my first time playing.
3. Just curious if I understand this correctly. The 32 teams are in two "conferences", each conference has 4 divisions, then its group stage play(where they play everyone, not just those in their group), then the top team from the 4 divisions advance, with two "wild cards" to the teams with the best record not already advancing, and from there its a single elim tournament? And is it impossible to have a AFC vs AFC super bowl?
I know especially the last question is a dumb one, I hope you go easy on me.

Number 3 is all right. I prefer Yahoo myself but that's only because I can manage all my fantasy leagues at one site. Streams, no clue.

1. Seriously? You can't get your TV on a Sunday afternoon? Just let her watch how I met your mother, glee, and gossip girls to her heart's content during the week but DEMAND Sunday afternoon come on
At any rate, channelsurfing.net usually has streams
2. I play yahoo, others use espn
3. it's not complete group stage, basically you play against every team in your division twice, then you play against 1 NFC and 1 AFC division (rotating every year), and then you play against the team that finished in the same position as you in the other two division of your conference (so if you got first, you play the other 2 division winners from your conference).
For the playoffs, it's single elim, with the top two teams in each division getting a first round bye. It is impossible to have an AFC vs AFC superbowl because you play until you have an AFC and an NFC champ and then you have the superbowl

BRITT FAV-RAY STARTS, AP SITS, I CRAP ON DK'S FACE.
Lest Sid Rice bloooooooooows the fuck up, hello finals!

Thanks for the replies! I guess I shouldn't say I can't get the TV, it would just be more convenient to watch on my PC for the both of us. She pays for the cable and I pay for the internet, since I'm really not much of a TV watcher. So if anyone knows alternatives that would be good, but I would probably be okay without.
Thanks KOF for the info about the group stage, I didn't know where the 16 games came from, just that there were 16.
Since I'm a Minnesotan and the Vikings can't possibly make the playoffs, who should I be watching for? I figure the Patriots are worth keeping an eye on, and the Ravens and Falcons seem to be doing well.

I've got a 43 point lead (would be about 25-30 in a regular-scoring league). My opponent has Joe Webb left. So far, so good.
|
LOL Peterson sitting just gave me the win! Thanks MJD, Turner, and McFadden not showing up this week!
|
Anyone know the odds of Chicago D and Knox combining to score > 10 points?
I know I'll probably lose because Chicago D is going to have a field day against Favre and unless Vikings manage to get pressure on the QB, which they haven't the whole season, I'm done for.
I had to oversleep and fail to replace Mike Wallace for Austin Collie...

And the Vikings score on the first play. Awesome.

Drive. Whatever. I hate these fucking announcers. SOOOOOO much cock sucking.

Bears defense show up, I out the #2 scorer in my league this week with the #1 performance. I am too good with my double Mike William/Josh Freeman starts. Man, my non-QB/non-WR slots can sure carry my team hard.

To #1, atdhe.net. They're pretty reliable. Channelsurfing is harder to find stuff on, imo.
It was nice to see that kind of rebound game after the thrashing the Bears took the previous week. I don't think there's much else to say on that game. Such a nice return by Hester for the record, though. I wonder who they'll give #1 on the top plays to this week. Hester for the record breaker, or Jackson for the circumstances. Both plays were pretty sick, and both had significant meaning other than being great plays.
