I think it takes a Chicago fan to really enjoy this match up, but many Chicago fans are still bitter about the '85 game, and the subsequent choke in the playoffs that made revenge impossible. I don't know if that is even true. The Dolphins are in shambles after the Tennessee game. This just feels like picking on the retarded kid. Either you beat them, but they weren't really in a position to be competitive, or you lose and you just lost to a team full of holes. Not really the best outcome either way. That being said, I will be glued to my chair probably yelling at the TV when the game is on either way. Ronnie Brown vs. the Bears? That takes some pretty serious guts considering what they have been doing to running games so far this season. I guess Bush has a pretty bad matchup too though. Just bad luck that your backs face the #1 and #2 rushing defenses in the league the same week.
They lost their two, shitty, QB's, and are finally forced to play the best QB on their roster. Playing Thigpen is the best thing this team has done in a while. He's strong, he's mobile, and he has a good arm. He has all the tools you look for in a QB. He played excellently in KC when he was there, but they removed the coaching staff, so he got shipped off. Remember how much Tony G liked him? He left the team because they got rid of him. Prior to leaving he said he would stay if they kept that team together, and kept Thigpen as QB. They didn't, so he left. And you can google that yourself, I'm not going to find the source for you.
Other than QB, how are they in shambles? I'm telling you man, people are down talking this dude, but this is the best thing that could have happened to this team, imo.
Also, 83 ypg seems more enticing than 63. I think Chicago is more likely to give up a TD, also.

See? That's a team in shambles. St. Pierre looked like shit in the few snaps he took in Arizona.

I think it's time for a league contraction

Long is very very hurt (his season should probably be over already; he's likely doing permanent damage to himself by playing).

Maybe it's because it's a Thursday night game on NFL Network but I feel like I'm watching a preseason game.

With one of the best running back duo's in the NFl and your leading rusher is Tyler Thigpen. I think you've found the issue Sparano. Try handing the ball off more than 7 times a game and you might have success else where on the field. Like idk the play action passing game and time management game.
I'm not watching the game on Tv but on ESPN's gamecast and it's the same story every week. Hand the ball off a hand full of time then force yourself into passing the whole game. Why don't you actually use you're rushing attack that was the back bone of the offense for the past two years?
And Thigpen may only be 15 of 23 with an interception but I like the fact he's not scared of the deep ball. Thigpen is winning me over fast and right now I hope Sparano keep Henne benched for this guy even if Henne can come back later this season.
Edit: Vernon Carey injured. Miami can't catch a break. =(

What kind of coach gives 3 handoffs to Ronnie Brown in an ENTIRE game?

You're watching two really, really boring teams. Bears have a pretty solid defense but boy is pretty much everything about the dolphins uninspiring.

Easily one of the most boring games I've ever seen.

LOL, I love the Sparano interview after the game. We tried running the ball but we only had 42 or whatever plays. LOL fucking joke gameplan is what I call it. Like Schlereth and Bruschi said. You don't go into a short week with your third string QB and an injured LT and expect to pass it 80% of the game. Dan Henning, if he's still calling the plays needs to be fired ASAP.

Who on earth is going to bite on the run fake with that kind of down and distance, especially considering how useless Miami had been on the ground up to that point (it was to Williams who had 2 rushes for -1 yards at that time)?

So glad the Bears won. The amount of hate Chicago gets is staggering.

Patriots - Colts... so wonderful.

For the first time in about six years, I am not remotely interested in this game. Indy is boring as shit to watch these days (partially thanks to injuries), and the Pats are the same boring Pats they've been since '01, save for two years when they were the league's best offense.
Despite a poor showing, I stand behind Thigpen being the best QB on the team.

Dude there are a couple must watch games this week.
Colts/Pats obviously and Giants/Eagles should be sick too if the good Giants team shows up and the Eagles keep looking like they did on Monday night. I disagree with SweetLemons, as long as Brady and Manning are playing Colts vs Pats will always be worth watching for me.
Gonna be watching football all day on Sunday for sure. I got the Pats and Eagles winning close ones.

Who to start at RB? Brown (Ind vs NE) Jackson (GB vs Min) Tolbert (SD vs Den)
Leaning towards Tolbert since Matthew's is still hurting. =[

I like this Giants this week. I don't think the team we saw against the Cowboys last week is really who they are. I think, for the first time in a long time, they simply looked past the Cowboys and weren't prepared for how tough they'd play under new leadership. I think they'll be much better prepared for the the Eagles this week, considering they play twice. For Eagles fans, this has to be a troubling situation as the one obvious worry with Vick right now is him getting injured before the post-season. The Giants have already knocked 6(!!) quarterbacks out of the game this season and they have some of the best run-stopping ability in the league when they play to their potential.
They do have a couple of key injuries themselves, though, most notably Umenyiora, O'Hara Diehl and Steve Smith 2, who plays a key role in the short yardage offense that Nicks and Manningham aren't used to filling. We saw Manningham in particular run short on a number of key 3rd down routes last week simply because he's not used to having to use that type of field awareness when he's streaking or cutting deep across the mid.
I think if the Eagles win it's going to have to be on the back of an accurate day from Vick in the pocket. He's got an absolute cannon of an arm and he's been freakishly on target this season, so if they can really stretch the field and take smart deep shots, I think they have a shot at just outpacing the Giants. The Giant's corners have always been somewhat shaky imo, and with Webster out they're probably going to go with the 3 safety look and just be as creative as possible with their spying. Despite what seems like a compelling argument for why the Eagles should win, I feel like if Vick is ever going to have a down week, it's going to be against the Giants, and I think this week might be it.

I need some advice on which Wrs to start this week. Due to many trades I have excellent receivers.
Malcolm Floyd vs. DEN Mike Williams (TB) vs. SF Andre Johnson vs. NYJ T.O vs. BUF Steve Johnson vs. CIN.
Which 3 should I start?
I like the Giants not that I am biased or anything lol. I watched Perry Fewel's interview this week and he seems really poise and confident about stopping Vick this week. Seems like a good sign to me. I hope the G-men start defensively, the offense seems to always start slow.
