If he is playing it in browser, did he loggon to the website.
If he is playing using the client, then maybe use the forums / e-mail notch?

I was able to play immediately after placing the paypal payment.

Its after a major update though so the servers might be overloaded. I tried buying when the servers were under a DDoS attack and I had to wait a day to log on. Just be patient.
yet another ridonculous creation... i think tonight i shall get back to my singleplayer and check out hellworld since the TL server still has not reverted back to our world/whatever shall be our new world

Did he pay with a Paypal E-Check? That's what I did and it took almost a week before I was able to play.
Has anyone gone to hell yet?? I had not played much singleplayer, so I had to do a bit of digging to get down below and grab obsidian.... and I naturally got lost and got killed just as I found my trail out. All because I realized when I got down there that I had not enough wood for a chest.

What...the...hell... some people are so genius, so creative, so full of free time... just wow. That's incredible.
I've got my private server up and running using the downloadable software from the minecraft home page. Seems, though, that every time my gf and I log in, the game will run fine at first, but will become increasingly laggy the more we play, to the point of being unplayable. I've read on the minecraft forums that this could possibly be a host server issue on Notch's side, as many people are running into similar problems. Seeing as how the TL minecraft server is doing a pretty good job of staying stable, I'd like to know if there's ANYTHING I can do about this. I've read that allocating more RAM to the server doesn't help, as the windows server software automatically allocates enough mem to run the server optimally. Any ideas?
Hmm, how do I take my singleplayer save file if I want to play elsewhere/not on my own computer? Do I just copy all the files from AppData/.minecraft (or something like that) to the same place on the other computer?

Am I just very unlucky, or as anyone else not found any coal by the third night? (I started at the edge of a snow biome, and spend the first three nights keeping my cave lit with a burning furnace. I actually found iron before i found coal.)
Anyways, i deleted that save and started another one. Got a good start, got a cave with a glass entrance. Had trouble killing all the 30+ trees around the entrance though, so i burned it. It seemed though that the wood was burning, but never disapearing. After i got rid of all the wood, i started a mining shaft, found 4 diamond after a while and decided to stop for a bit. I basically stripped my spawn point of all its sand, and managed to get 16 full stacks of sand, which I am in the process of turning into glass. I'm thinking of making a railroad in the sky once I get enough glass. Either that or an underwater railroad. Finally, i am getting a lot of cobblestone and plan on using it for something equally hilarious.
The guy who built the 16 bit ALU has now finished a complete CPU. He doesn't have a real video for it up yet, but he posted a short video announcing it and will probably have a video online by tomorrow or something.
"i heard you like computers so i put a computer in your computer ..."

Minecraft is plagued with poor coding and massive memory/cpu leaks. My old server had the progressive lag, but my current server hasn't really. It seems to be random in the way lag manifests itself. Best thing I can do is recommend that you run the server as -Xmx3084 -Xms3084 and avoid using plugins if possible (with two players, you probably don't use them anyway).
Also, host it on a separate computer. If you're trying to play on the same computer (possibly the same network) as your server, that may be the issue. Server+Client on the same computer doesn't work well at all, and if it's on the same network you may be hitting bandwidth limitations. Notch states you need ~2mb upload per user. Unless your connection is xx/5+, that could be your issue, too.
However, what with all the crops and the grass tiling, it's a total bitch when I spend some time working at the top and come down to find fuckin' animals everywhere have trampled all of my crops T_T. Apparently they only spawn on grass, but I feel like removing the grass would make everything ugly Ideas? How do I keep them away
