Well, I finally beat Amnesia. The scariest game I've every played and the scariest experience of my life. I feel like nothing is scary after that game. By the way, for those who want to know scariest rooms, well, let me say something first. If you think the water part is scary, you're wrong. The water part is a joke. The only time I actually like yelled/screamed was in the sewers, god that was scary. And then the choir you're in a constant state of fear and it is ridiculously scary... That and near the end when the shadow chases you, I almost had a panic attack.

The game is fantastic, I've played through it a few times now, if you're into horror games this would be by far the best ever and there are three different endings.

I have a few friends who bought it but are too scared to get more than 20-30 minutes into the game haha.

I really like this game. Adding actual fear just makes a game 10x more interesting.

I remember playing Alien vs Predator 2, man the marine campaign will really make you shit your pants. The motion tracker is actually a fear-inducer

Dead Space is cool too, although being armed to the teeth doesn't really add to the fear.

It's nice that there are still creative and talented developers around. It's not so nice that most of these devs seem to be little independents like Frictional. Damn, but I'd love to see what they could do if they had as much money as EA or Blizzard.

Game certainly moved me in ways that no other game and few movies have ever done. I never really panicked or made a noise, but I did get a lump in my throughout throughout a lot of the elevator puzzle.

I haven't gone further than that, so it's quite possible that the story will turn out to be balls, but I like the intrigue, the voice acting and I love/fear the story telling. Did I mention that the voice acting was fucking amazing? Daniel, Alexander, and even most of the secondary characters are great.

Have to agree on the voice acting, Alexander's voice was just so great, really added to the atmosphere.

And the story doesn't really go bad, at least I liked it! Go and finish it, its worth it!

I finished the game.
I didn't really get scared during it because i grew up on those scare gifs. i only played it for the great puzzles, just like it's predecessor, the penumbra series.
Although the penumbra games had more challenging puzzles i still suggest Amnesia to anyone looking for puzzles that make you think more than your common(dumb) arcade games.

It's kinda silly that there are like 3 endings but all 3 of them are decided 1 minute before the ending, and you may not even find out about one of the choices while playing.

I've seen a lot of those videos (watched at least 2 lets plays from beginning to end after I finished the game, just because it's so awesome to see others relieve the same things you've seen), but this is the best video I've seen yet :D

really brilliant game i loved the sewer/choir parts when you had to distract/dodge the patrols. the third ending was a big wtf though

Currently working on a more platformer and puzzle heavy story for amnesia. still going to be scary and about hiding ect, but I'm trying to make it so that intelligence is equally important as being able to run and hide.

EDIT: I've currently mapping out puzzles and areas. the editor is super easy and fun.

This game is the best $10 I ever spent (Bought it during the Christmas sale).
I highly recommend it to anybody, and am always telling my friends about it. Though I'm the only person I know that finished the game in the dark with headset on.

it actually happens "randomly" when you are close to insanity. whenever you walk into a dead end there is a chance it can happen depending on your sanity. And it's scary every time regardless.
