Anyone care to explain why thats a popular build? Im only familiar with the rocket build for DHs, and thought that was the only one out there. Someone on the D3 DH reddit cross-posted something that Wudijo wrote, the guy running the slow-lighting-ball build and doing super high solo rifts. Just stumbled upon it today actually. My DH is fresh 70 but it's still an interesting read.

How rare are those socket enchant things anyways? I only got 1 so far, and that was around Paragon 120~. Now Im 230 and I still havent seen once since. dont those only work on weapons? yes, only weapons. I got 8 of them on season, like 1 per 20 hours. But many people claims to get to p400 without seeing one, so I guess they are quite rare. You're the reason no one else is getting any! Yes that is definitely how it works! What an asshole! > : (

Yup only got one of those things so far, not that I have any weapons in stash worthwhile using it on but still.... used the one I had on my decent unbound bolt, wtb Etrayu.
am only paragon lvl 300 though

I must have gotten very lucky cause I had two of them drop just an hour apart. Granted they are the only two I've seen. Since the item came out.

Gearing a fresh DH. The very first helm I gambled was Mara with decent rolls, the very first (not back to back with the previous) pants I gambled were Mara with great rolls.
A good sign lol?
I still haven't figured out the best way of gearing new characters... Bounties/rifts at the appropriate level (probably T2-3 for me right now), Grifts in the 10-20 range only leveling the Keystone by 1 each time, or just grinding blood shards on a better toon until the new one is on par...
I also finally ran out of Forgotten Souls last night, between chanting and crafting. Depressing. Not sure if there's a focused way to "farm" those besides just playing more and using them less

I've dropped 4 of the ramadlandi's gift things and I'm Paragon 208.... You guys are just unlucky.

Id add doing a slowroll GR once you get a keystone to collect the gems (do nothing in the trial so you start at level 1 and then dont summon/kill the GR guardian until the timer has almost run out so you dont go up more then 1 Rift level) since even at their base level they can be quite an improvement depending on your class/spec

The way I did it was bounties to level 70, then rifts to collect shards and gamble better items. I guess I got lucky and had full firebirds pre-paragon 50, had a few drop too

as far as gems, you are absolutely correct. need to get those gems, but that can be done in a few GR.

Is it still worth playing the new char on low torment for the chance at relevant gear to drop? Or just farm blood shards en masse on the "main" char and use them all on the alt until they've caught up...
