I actually got my triumvirate from kadala, so she can definitely drop some good gear. It's really rare though. I'd guess kadala has somewhere between a 1-2% legendary droprate.

So, the 25% bonus to Legendary drops in Nephalem Rifts is multiplicative and will actually stack with the scaling Legendary drop rate bonus in Torment 1-6.
This means if you're playing through a Rift in Normal-Master, you'll have a 25% bonus to Legendary drops. If you're playing through a Rift in Torment 1, you'll have a 43% bonus to Legendary drops (1.15 * 1.25 = 1.43). If you're playing through a Rift in Torment 2, you'll have a 65% bonus to Legendary drops (1.32* 1.25 = 1.65). And so on.
Hope that helps clear some things up a bit. (Also, I really hope my math checks out. >.>)
Note that we're going to continue to keep an eye on Rifts and how rewarding they are (or, more importantly, how rewarding they feel). We've already seen some great feedback from players on that topic that we're taking a look at now. This buff is just a small change we could make quickly, and we're definitely looking forward to your feedback over the next few days.
Judging by this, sweet spot for most people on TL right now is T1-T3. I can definitely farm T1 faster than 1/1.43% the speed of normal, and T2 faster than 1/1.65. I don't think T3 is worth it for me outside a group though, frozen orb just falls off too hard once you start having to single target.

Kadala having 1-2% leg drop rate would mean I'd have received between 5 and 10 legendaries from her, while the real number is a solid zero.
To be honest, I still have to walk around with a yellow wand after like 50 hours into RoS (maybe more). I have 480k/10mil unbuffed and I breeze through T1, but I can't find a legendary one-hander for life.

Sounds like each Torment level is 15% over the previous one. I find it pretty low. They should scale normal -> master as well since it's pretty dumb to have people farm normal then jump to torment.

I have 480k/10mil unbuffed and I breeze through T1, but I can't find a legendary one-hander for life. People have this tendency to bemoan perceived poor luck in drops. Perfect trifecta ammies, rings, and set legs may not be raining cats and dogs for you but kadala does in fact tend to give out legendaries somewhat frequently considering how easy shards are to obtain. Maybe you haven't been super lucky with her, but for every person below average there is another that has gotten way more than average (my friend, with nearly every legendary source while looking for mirrorball, who now has it). In my personal experience, I actually I got two legendary shoulders in sequential purchases last night (Homing Pads) but they were both worse than my near-perfectly rolled vit/in/AR/%life rare.
So meh, keep trying, and don't let it get to you. Your past luck has no relevance to future chances for drops. Try to run in groups of 4 and if someone else finds a good 1h then maybe they won't need it.

i have found about 4-5 upgrades from kadala.
good rare chest, good rare gloves, good rare amulet. andariel's vissage mirrorball with +2 missiles
shitton of yellow crystals!

I'm surprised split farming hasn't been addressed already. hard -> master would have a point if people weren't split farming.

another question for you number grinding nerds (much <3), is it better to get dmg on rings, or ias? my build is disintegrate/archon on a wiz.
i have a leoric with int, cc and cd, and i rerolled the fourth stat (previously vit) into 74-152 dmg. my thought is that ias would replete my ap too fast and not increase my burst dmg whereas extra dmg would add a bonus to each attack and keep my ap manageable. however, 74-152 dmg seems kind of low given my 1H is at 2326 dps.
also, i have a SoJ with no cc/cd, and i rerolled the vit into dmg as well. should that be cc instead given i have 50+ cc already?
char for reference:

If I'm doing the math right a ring with 74-152 dmg on it would basically add 169 dps to your weapon (after the +7% dmg on the weapon). Assuming it would be a 6% attack speed roll it would give your weapon 139.5 more dps, but as you said also take more arcane power per second. If I am looking at that right I say the damage is better.
edit for maths: 74-152 dmg = 113 average damage X 0.07 (weapon modifier) = 7.91+113 = 120.9 X 1.4(attacks per second on wep) = 169.2 more dps.
6% attack speed = 2326 (weapon dps) X 0.06 (ias) = 139.56 more dps.

also keep in mind that you will one day be able to increase your AS by paragon points...
so i would definitely stick with the avg dam roll.

gotta get dem paragon levels

On April 05 2014 03:28 Mindcrime wrote: gotta get dem paragon levels If you look at your character sheet, you'll notice that the %XP bonus from a Ruby stacks additively with the XP bonus from higher difficulties, not multiplicatively. By T1 and higher, the XP bonus is not terribly significant relative to your XP gain because the XP bonus from difficulty is much higher. If you're farming T3, which has a 550% XP bonus, the Ruby is effectively giving you only about 6% more XP because it's not multiplying that 550% bonus.
EDIT: At, least this was the case when I tested this in the days leading up to RoS. I doubt Blizzard would have changed this without mentioning it.

i like paragon levels because it gives me a sense of accomplishment when i do a run and get tons of experience despite the fact that i didnt find a usable item. the red gem aids in that. at t1, doesnt it give like a 10% bonus xp boost? obviously, it has diminishing returns the higher you go, but i spend most time at low level t1.
i dont need the extra life because most groups play low torment, and when i solo i run prismatic which makes life loss manageable at high torments. i can still watch tv and not worry about dying.
CDR may be nice due to archon, maybe i will check in on that.
primarily, i dont like to change gems because they are fucking expensive to change. most times i dont change gems until i salvage an item so that i can remove the gem for free.
thanks for the info on +dmg, i will keep the dmg and not try to re-roll.

Helm sockets seem inferior unless you're doing some build that is reliant on CDR.

Correct me if i'm wrong but thats 13,6% extra xp? 300% BONUS XP = 4x Normal XP
441% XP with gem/400% XP without gem = 10.25% more XP

Hell Rift bounty runs with extra exp are rather hilarious, single run boosting a lvl 60 friend netted him like 2,5 levels. Even though they get boring after a while, I still need the gold for best gems since I started the expansion with barely any.
