And the problem, clearly stated, is that affix combinations are far too random given the drop rate for uniques. In the context of uniques, they drop rarely enough that affixes shouldn't be determined via the same algorithm currently used for rares. In the case of rares, they simply drop far too often. Rares are rares in name only. The long-term solution is to reduce the rare drop rate to say 10% of what it is now, so that we portal back to town only at the end of a farming run and we dont even have a full inventory. With this drastically reduced drop rate for Rares, the affix algorithm can be improved to be far less frustrating than it is today. No more strength rolled on staffs, str+dex+int on an item, 300dex and -5 fury barb skill on an axe, etc. This improves the loot aspect of D3, reducing the tedium surrounding rares, basically making rares "suck less". Not suggesting the affix algorithm should be improved so that all rares are good, just that it should be improved so that 99% is not auto-vendor. | ||

I was looking at my DH's crit % from gear because the in game number doesn't line up with my battle net profile. Thing is my battle net profile has the right crit % from gear while in game I had 5% more. Take off all my DH's gear and I still have 5% crit. And while I'm talking about it my Bnet profile says I have 50k less damage than my in game character sheet XD which one's right which one's wrong. | ||

As for the dps; it's probably a both places are right... because I'm guessing you're using Sharpshooter, which screws everything up since your crit chance will be constantly changing. | ||

The only difference I can find between the 2 profiles is the left ring. My new one (that I found woohoo! ![]() Edit#2: It seems that it doesn't take crit damage from gear into account. That's weird. | ||

And yes, the dps on the bnet armory will be accurate for whatever gear it has you listed as wearing. I've done enough dps profiles to confirm this one. | ||

In Inferno, in addition to increased experience, Magic Find, and Gold Find, whenever a monster dies and drops an item normally (whether it be gold, a potion, or a piece of gear), the monster also has a chance to drop an additional bonus item. The chance to drop a bonus item will scale up with each MP level as detailed in the table below. | ||
