i've got enough keys to make like 12 machines and would be down to join you guys. my monk is MP8 capable (pretty sure higher since MP8 was a breeze for me) if there's a barb

would be down to spend them with you TL folks as long as we're doing at least MP5

I wrote it in the inferno machine group aswell but since its pretty urgent, I'm gonna post it here too:

Ive got a server open with zholtan + sb mp7. Did the other bosses with a tank barb, who has just left me

Okay, so with all the rant about sc2 and it's failures. I've come to the conclusion that the same thing is basically true for diablo 3. It's a barren wasteland when you start up the game and no friends are online, the chat system is a joke. Two simple solutions would be to, make you join a big huge chat channel when you log in with people around your current paragon level (even further reason for paragon to be there) and also a way to make god damn custom games and lobbies. The first thing would do just SO much for the experience, playing alone sucks and is terribly boring, I'd love to party up with some decent players around my level and of different chars, if there was just a way to do it! I'm just sad even thinking about it...

This isn't a good solution (introducing ilvl 64). This just perpetuates the problem.

And the problem, clearly stated, is that affix combinations are far too random given the drop rate for uniques.

In the context of uniques, they drop rarely enough that affixes shouldn't be determined via the same algorithm currently used for rares.

In the case of rares, they simply drop far too often. Rares are rares in name only.

The long-term solution is to reduce the rare drop rate to say 10% of what it is now, so that we portal back to town only at the end of a farming run and we dont even have a full inventory.

With this drastically reduced drop rate for Rares, the affix algorithm can be improved to be far less frustrating than it is today. No more strength rolled on staffs, str+dex+int on an item, 300dex and -5 fury barb skill on an axe, etc.

This improves the loot aspect of D3, reducing the tedium surrounding rares, basically making rares "suck less". Not suggesting the affix algorithm should be improved so that all rares are good, just that it should be improved so that 99% is not auto-vendor.

Something really weird just happened to Radiant Star Emerald prices. I clicked to sell mine, and the last 10 trades price was around 2m. Shocked, I kept refreshing it, and the last 10 trades kept going lower and lower. It eventually bottomed out at 460k, and then 10 seconds later shot back up to the normal 4.6m. All of this happened within the span of ~20 seconds. Wtf happened there? Did someone just list a bunch of radiant star emeralds and forget a zero?

Dumb question, but do all characters have a base of 5% crit chance?

I was looking at my DH's crit % from gear because the in game number doesn't line up with my battle net profile. Thing is my battle net profile has the right crit % from gear while in game I had 5% more. Take off all my DH's gear and I still have 5% crit.

And while I'm talking about it my Bnet profile says I have 50k less damage than my in game character sheet XD which one's right which one's wrong.

Yes, all charactesr have a base 5% crit chance, your experiment was correct.

As for the dps; it's probably a both places are right... because I'm guessing you're using Sharpshooter, which screws everything up since your crit chance will be constantly changing.

I don't use SS

The only difference I can find between the 2 profiles is the left ring. My new one (that I found woohoo! ) has slightly less Dex, 0.5% more crit and crit damage.

Edit#2: It seems that it doesn't take crit damage from gear into account. That's weird.

It would be much faster if you just linked your profile... but ya Bnet armor no longer updates when you log-out of game (I heard it does it nightly now?). So it easily could be out of date.

And yes, the dps on the bnet armory will be accurate for whatever gear it has you listed as wearing. I've done enough dps profiles to confirm this one.

Quick question, on the monster power tables shown by blizzard what was the bonus item percentage for?

Okay makes sense. Never noticed what it was doing since i'm playing really low MP levels..
The sky just is, and goes on and on; and we play all our BW games beneath it.

In Inferno, in addition to increased experience, Magic Find, and Gold Find, whenever a monster dies and drops an item normally (whether it be gold, a potion, or a piece of gear), the monster also has a chance to drop an additional bonus item. The chance to drop a bonus item will scale up with each MP level as detailed in the table below.

I quit diablo after 3 weeks or so after it was released, I have heard that they fixed a lot of stuff and that it is now quite decent

can anyone explain to me what changes they did in general?
