Crit dmg.

while i think that your point is that no amount of crit damage makes stacking crit better than attack speed?

+50% crit dmg (100% total) = every 10% crit increases dmg by 10%. +150% crit dmg (200% total) = every 10% crit increases dmg by 20%. (obviously multiplied off base amount calculated before any crit) It's like infinity edge in LoL, makes crit better and thus make stacking more crit better.

if you're stacking both they get better but just stacking one does nothing... he didn't say anything about the two of them together lol
That's like an all in investment to make it actually worthwhile, it seems like you would have to get those stats on a LOT of gear... if it's just like... I have 5% crit on this ring, I should use this other item with crit damage, that doesn't sound so good

well it would be pretty stupid to stack crit and not crit dmg.

yes
kinda sounds like that's what he's doing

So would buying items on eBay still be considered 'illegal' or against the rules? On iPhone no access to TOS. Seems like it should be ok, but then again from Blizz perspective it's lost money. In D2 of course it wasn't permitted, but back then Blizz had no RMAH specifically encouraging real world transaxtion

Ebay doesn't even allow the sale of virtual goods so... I don't understand why you don't just use d2jsp or another bst forum?

So what kind of official confirmation do we have about these IAS numbers? The whole thing smells fishy to me. Like all the other doomsday Blizz crisis since release.

As for not understanding why I don't simply use another site - the reason is because I'm not buying items... The question was stimulated by seeing items on eBay and reading about eBay trading in various posts here and on bnet
So new question: what's the official Blizz policy on buying items via 'd2jsp'

Hey guys, I just finished hell mode and I'm starting inferno... and I'm wondering which of the following two armors and shields are better (now that stats *really* matter). I know a lot of people in this thread are a lot more knowledgeable than me in regards to which stats are most important for armor (chance to block, resist all, etc.- but in what order), so I was hoping for some input.
I recognize that my stuff is probably trashy, but I need to make do with what I have for now.
I'm a barbarian with 23K life and 14K damage, over 200 resist all, and in the spoilers are my pairs of armors and shields for comparison. Which should I be using, and why? Hoping for some input; thanks!

i dont think they can do anything about it since jsp is as much a place to buy items for bucks as well as a place to trade items in general, and you can do just fine without spending a single buck.
plus its just a forum that connect peoples, trades are made in game so its not like it can be seen by blizzard or anything

What i meant is that if you have 30% base crit chance, a 45% crit dam increase is a 15% base damage increase, equivalent to 15% ias. Stacking crits is the shit. When you have 30% or more base crits, 60% crit dam amus are about as good as 20% ias wise. That's why i discarded my old 15% ias 150 dex amu long ago for a 59% crit increase for a huge increase in dps AND gold (crit was still way undercosted and ias overcosted). My gloves with +8.5 crits proc +34% are about equivalent to a 25% ias gloves in term of dps.
Right now i'm selling everything i had with ias, my +81 dex +312 armor Tal Rasha , my bow with 20% ias and my rings. I'm broke and i have no items since i'll wait a bit to find some good deals but i guess in 2-3 days i should sell everything and change my inventory for the better, at least after the patch.
That aside, maybe now Dual wield is viable with the nerf on Quivers? 7-8% more ias compared to best quivers, possible better stats (dunno there) but lower base damage and more costly, especially in term of gems.

set items are considered legendary, right?

The gothic shield is definitely better than your current one I'd say. The armors I'm not sure.

Yup. Well, at least the auction house's filter says so.

Just be ready to sacrifice your dps to around 5-6k in the beginning. I am tanking with my friends, DPS is 4,8K. It's a fucking joke. I would go with the yellow armor btw, shield I am not sure.

The block chance is the most important part of the shield. One of the shields has a significantly larger block chance so it is better. The amount blocked disparity has me confused on which one is actually better though. The resists probably makes up for it though since yours are so low even if it is worse. The chest armors are slightly more complicated. You probably won't need the additional defense at the start of act one so the extra DPS might be useful from the rare chest. The blue chest should provide more survival though if that is what you're going for.
