Had to chuckle when I met a pack of Molten Frozen enemies.^^

Smart-ass comment, contains minor spoilers.
+ Show Spoiler +Overthrowing the various lords of hell, travelling into their own realm, and then stopping their plot to destroy heaven, with your ally, the archangel embodiment of Justice, using a weapon with magical fire? Perfectly rational. Weapon with magical fire AND magical ice? Woah now, let's not get fucking crazy.

It helps if your smart ass comment is actually smart -_-. They spend a whole lot of time trying to make something like running around killing lords of hell appear appear appropriate to the logic of the setting, they spend zero time trying to make a weapon that is both on fire and icy appear consistent with any logic, hence it seems incongruous and weird.

Yeah but see the problem was it was a fire axe, it even had the pretty flames on the tooltip. So don't go telling me that axe should go around freezing enemies!

It's magic fire and ice. It follows whatever damn logic they want it to, it's their setting. Perfectly smart. If it followed typical laws of nature and logic, it wouldn't need to be magic, obviously.

No lol. If there were a magic spell that made leonardo dicaprio appear and moonwalk backwards through the dungeon causing enemies to implode, it would not appear internally consistent just because it's magic.
You don't need a good excuse for a fantastic element to appear plausible for the player to accept it, but you do need it to be sort of waved off somehow.

Yes, because this has something to do with the metaphysics of extreme heat and cold coexisting. If you desperately need to be able to understand something to suspend disbelief, I feel sorry for you. It's not a game you play for the plot, it's a game you play for the smash-shits.
It's no more bizarre than a fiery magic weapon continuing to be fiery in A3, where everything is so cold, or a frozen magic weapon continuing to do cold damage or whatever else in HELL, or against GIANT DEMONS MADE OF FUCKING FIRE. It's the same damn logic. The logic is "the magic is just that damn strong".
The flaming magic weapon doesn't burn out after it consumes its fuel? No good. Let's bitch about that too. The electric damage weapon doesn't arc weld itself to your gauntlets? Fuck this game. Come on, I can find more just to drive you insane, if you're going to be OCD about anything they don't explain down to the quantum mechanics.

Have you guys played Diablo 2? There are a gazillion weapons with fire, ice, poison and lightning damage all at the same time. Who the fuck cares seriously... Its just a damage type such as freezing is just an attribute...

i hate when i'm trying to search for the highest stat item for example, and it fucking includes socketed jewels.... sigh
for example i wanna find the highest dex item with 3 EMPTY sockets, but all i'll see is an item filled with 3 flawless square emeralds already in it.

I like to think that the axe removes all heat from the foe that it smites, and turns that energy into an enchanted fireball. Makes sense, so im sticking to it.

Has anyones account been hacked in the recent wave of account breaches? Not going to lie after reading some of the threads on reddit i felt pretty uncomfortable.

How dare you try to find a way it works instead of complaining that the fantasy setting requires suspension of disbelief? Heresy.
I like your name, by the way. Not off-color like some people's. Really catches the whole spectrum of what you were thinking when you registered. And I'm not just making light of it.

Well, I'm aware of that, it's still incongruous. It's not affecting my enjoyment of the game, A) I didn't even find the item, that's another poster... B) I wouldn't care if I did because I wouldn't notice C) I wouldn't be annoyed if I did notice, because it's not annoying, it's incongruous, those aren't the same thing. It is silly that in mtg you can enchant a creature with holy strength and unholy strength at the same time, but it doesn't bother me, I'm ok with just acknowledging that it's silly. As it turns out in mtg there are literally hundreds of thousands of contradictions like this (you can equip boots on a log for example), but it doesn't send me into a fit and it doesn't somehow make the individual instances less silly because there are a lot of them. I'm not really surprised you characterize me as 'desperate', 'bitching', being 'driven insane' and somebody you 'feel sorry for' when you're wrong, but it's not a very good habit of thought on your part.
