While in D3 repeats of dialogues and events just make me puke. Its distracting and interfering with gameplay. + Show Spoiler + Seeing Azmodan babbling how you killing his siege weapons, Lieutenant , 2nd Lieutenant , someone someone, his dog is isignificant untill you arrive at his door .... No stats though, but holy fuck. | ||

Gold is better than crafting mats, but if you trade your good rares for gold on the ah, you can salvage the rest and craft more to sell. Crafting is way less luckbased than finding drops since you decide what the base item is. I don't know how expensive it is to craft the highest level recipes but if it isn't too bad, it's probably the best way to get the perfect gear. | ||

Problem being, you have to kill em and you need luck. Crafting on the other hand is great for when you're leveling alts. Crafted items also have potential to be really good, with some luck. | ||

As others have mentioned, crafting is good but overpriced for what you get compared to visiting the AH until the end game - at which point you'll need to have leveled your blacksmith and jeweler to the max. I've spent a lot of money and items crafting and imo, the AH is a much better bet. | ||
