You can't even /reply or /whisper right? This will hopefully be patched.
You can turn NPC talk in chat off. So it doesn't fill up your chat.

Yep, gem is OP on your alt. I roll a mage, got to act 2 then put some square gems on him and just blash thru everything. Currently on NM and still going strong  .
Also, putting + MF and +GF on your alt can actually net you alt of gold. My wizard make like 200K from finishing Normal.

God I just hate the auction house interface. You can't list them after the lowest bid; if you've been outbid you can't get a link to the item again to rebid.
It's such a pity. Also they don't allow you to mod the game to make it acceptable =(

Well, after grinding for hours in act 3 Nightmare and still getting my ass kicked in Act 4, I said fuck it and dumped about 100k gold into the auction house. Now I got a really good weapon and some better boots. I still have the same survivability for the most part but now I do so much more damage. I thought I would feel bad about it because I look at it as a shortcut, but it was either I grind gold and buy shit from the AH or I grind who knows how long until I get good gear...somehow. Either way its grinding, the AH just seems to lessen the grind a bit. Still hate it overall but thank god for it, such a time-saver.

Hope the expansion has a paladin class. Some of the gear you get in act 4 is too swag for barbarians. Got super jelly on Cormack.

Go to your auctions tab, there is a window for items you have a bid on, it tells you if you are winning or not as well.

Anyone else have their account hacked? I've been doing some reading on reddit / google and it appears that many people are having this issue, even with the authenticator. Enough to suggest a possible Blizzard side security breach.
Disclaimer: I've played many different online games before in my life, and never have I had an account hacked. I also consider myself proficient with computers.
It just seems rather fishy as I did not enter my account details into any other textbox apart from the game's client.

For some reason, you don't authenticate when you login to Diablo 3. I assume this is to avoid log in problems since it'd make it even worse, but ^_^

You do authenticate the first time, and until you change the location of log in you don't have to use your authenticator again.

Is there some kind of glitch cuz sometimes my dps just drop and gain with no reason? I add the 2 hands weapon with 70 dexterity and still turn out to have more dps than dual weapons with 140 dex/ weapon? So weird, monk btw.

What class are you playing? I can't imagine you need to farm to get on ACT 4 NM, even if you need some gears, a weapon from the AH would be enough.
100K seem very overkill. My Barb is act 1 Hell, when I know I don't have the dps for it, I don't even bother to farm, just went straight to AH, bought 2 weapons for totall of 30K and now I am ripping thru ACT 1, get a good loot from Spider Queen and sell that for 52K lol.

What is your 2 hander's DPS? Is it more than your 1 hander DPS by a large margin?

I'm feeling you. Not quite there yet but I must say for the amount of hype this game received it's surprisingly hollow. And from what I read I'm a bit daunted by the fact that Blizzard didn't build massively on the old title with layers up on layers of new stuff & features.
I give it another 1-2 weeks and then I'm pretty much done with it.

This game is amazing mechanically. It plays great, but then feels very uninspired when it comes to the items: the main allure of a diablo type game. There's almost no replay value. The items have 2-3 stats you need and that's it. Blue items are also better than their rarer counterparts. It just doesn't make sense.

Holy cow, I just discovered the power of the auction house. For 10 000 gold I literary doubled the dps and more on my level 36 WD. You can find some amazing buyouts if you look a little bit.

Im having almost more fun with the auction house than the game right now. If you use some strategy and refresh for a bit you can find preposterously good deals on buyout and get completely geared up for less than 10k per item or flip the items for huge profit.
I have found some absurd deals, but you have to be very fast or they are gone. I was having troubles in Act 3 NM with my WD. I spent a few hours sniping items in the AH, and now I am destroying Hell difficulty without having spent more than 15k on any item. Hell feels easier than NM im so geared.

Yes, there are a lot of flaws with D3 as it currently is but that isn't one of them.
Everything you can roll on a blue item you can roll on a rare item. However, that rare has the bonus of being able to roll even more stat. So that high DPS blue with +int and increased attack speed could also be a rare with +int, increased attack speed, +vit, +life on hit and 2 sockets. Those haven't been found a whole lot but they are out there.
I welcome the decision that good rares are better than legendaries. They do need more weapon mods however.
