Holy shiiiiiiiiiiit season one looks amazing!!!!

Hopefully they've made the air client a bit less buggy too... Hopefully the addition of draft mode will make this game a lot more dynamic and fun. Counterpicking is soooo much more fun than blind pick and it makes more champions actually viable.

^ yeah i'm surprised you guys aren't making a bigger deal out of this. season 1 is just around the corner (i mean it was to be expected... but still). i'm a bit confused at the ranking system though. is the posted ELO our current ELO? and when they say separate ELOs for 5s, 3s, and solo does that mean the best solo que players could que up with nobodies in 5s?
i guess i'll just have to wait and see.

Looking forward to Season 1 ^_^ And the tournaments that might be incoming. Sigh, I think I should get an US account and get it to lvl 30 but that is so troublesome...

I think it means you'll have a different ELO for each ladder, and you'll probably have to start from scratch with each different mode (5s, 3s and solo). Kinda like how the starcraft 2 rating system works. You have a different ELO for each ladder (1v1,2v2 etc.) Our blind pick ELO won't be reset though I think. They must also have a kind of placement period seeing as there's a screen they have where you pick your level of experience with LoL. Also I think that Premades will only play against premades which makes a lot of sense in my opinion, it's kinda constricting though, as in you either have to play as a solo que/2man or 5man. Me and my housemates usually only play 4mans since our other housemate moved out

and the premade vs premade thing is pretty much already implemented. if you're a 5 man premade, you generally only go against solo que teams if they're MUCH MUCH higher ELO than you.
wonder if this will revive TT. literally nobody plays on that maps.

It does kinda suck but it makes the ranking system much more accurate because you don't have to assign boosts to peoples ELO's just because they're in a 5 man premade, you just average them. It's hard to quantify exactly how much of a boost having comms etc. is, is it a 100 elo boost? 200? This way if you're in a 5 man you'll have one rating, and that's it. Also it's not very hard to reach the high ELO bracket if you're good (I'm not saying I am, I'm probably only around mid elo), I think I saw a red post saying most high ELO players smurfs reach 1700~1800 elo by the time they're level 7 or 8, so it probably won't take that many games with retards

I think I'm gonna try it out tonight at some point.
Does Panth have any junglability? If so, you could try smite/ignite, get L2, then do lizard + 1-2 small camps. L3 with L2 HS + Aegis + red buff + Ignite would be pretty insane (and even more likely to burst down someone).
That said, I'm not sure, even with Smite, how Panth takes down lizard...

A good ranking system would understand that winning a 5-man pre-made and winning a 3-man solo-queue are different...but related. Unfortunately, instead of a modern, Bayesian rating system, Riot has elected to use the single oldest system still in use (ELO).
WTF guys?

Did they say when season 1 was coming, even an estimated timeframe is better than "soon".

News is good, but no release date = vaporware until proven otherwise =\

Current solomid stream: TakashiX, Elementz, TreeEskimo, etc. vs. BigFatJiJi, CleverAdvisor, etc.
Edit: JiJi FTW, after a back-and-forth game.

I've never jungled with panth
you can't take the wraith camps without smite in the setup I was describing.

jiji is +400, rofl. Probably the biggest w/l margin out of any player. Chauster is still better though imo.
