Almost. Since boots are much better than maladies, Nidalee is the best hero in the game--in cougar form, she walks on all fours, so you get the benefit from FOUR boots. Four boots>six maladies, though Chogath is definitely second.

I seem to be able to carry my team to a point with kills everywhere, but I just can't seem to fucking win... theres rarely much you can do as you aren't a physical dps, other than smash the other team so hard that you guys are ahead(works quite well). But in the inevitable situation that you are behind -Initiate the teamfight with a good flash tibbers midgame. (Initiating with annie is a personal thing with me, apparently, but its one of the best initiations in the game imo, hopefully you have that giants belt/red pot!) Your targets will be, the squishes , the ones with annoying ults they cant use while stunned(Zilean, Kayle), the ones without cleanse, and the ones with the CC that will lead to you dying afterwards, although (flash+tibbers+zhonyas ftw) Preferably , they will be all of the above.
-Lead your team ,you are playing all 5 characters at this point, them being out of position and getting ganked should be taken as your death , if you ping relentlessly and they still don't listen , group up the other 4 and use him as bait Your opponents at any elo will make tons of mistakes, IE one guy going off to farm halfway across the map(easy 5v4), everyone clumping together, just being horribly out of position(not knowing the HUGE range of flash tibbers), or over extending when they push. allies will be scared fucks but once u ping and land a good ult everyone will jump in like you were in a premade.
Remember those games where you were impossibly ahead, but one of your stupid fuck teammates kept dying and either causes a really bad 4v5 or losing a tower uselessly/ dragon etc? Thats pretty much what you're aiming for.
At higher elos buy 3-6 wards, place them around and just direct your team with pings all over the map, looking for people to gank/ doing dragon/taking towers. (if you are doing exceptionally well, your allies will be very inclined to listen to you) Good spots to ward are dragon, their blue/red, river paths, and the bush/path leading into and out of their jungle. It's a good idea to take note when exactly the time dragon will respawn once it dies, so you guys can be in the area preemptively as well. some tips for team ganking: -If you see a creep wave pushing their side, come from underneath the jungle on sit in a bush where they will most likely come to farm. -Vision ward a bush near baron, group up everyone and sit on it, you will also need a vision ward on baron as well, for the other team not to have CV, or ashe's hawkshot, etc. also tends to be a lot later in the game. -TELL your team what to do, just assume they're all clueless/bad. Like it could be really simple things like, YO "x..", save ur stun/taunt/silence for kat when she ults, or nidalee make sure u give the buff to ashe since ur AP, blahblah. Or like, "Please give blue buff to heimer". Yes, it will come off as presumptuous and a bit of an asshole to everyone, but again if you are doing really well, no one will mind/ it can only do u good. However if you're like breakeven or negative, people will jsut tell you to fuck off. lol
Eh, theres too many situations to list in a small post but hopefully there's something in here you don't do yourself already. Also, in teamfights, you should AoE ult obviously(1)-> then w>q(3)->shield asap(4)-> Q again(5), ->zhonyas here preferably waiting for your W to get off CD->you essentially have another AoE stun with your W,

Just played my first game with Nasus, i like him, really fun to play. I just have to stop playing random solo queue games though, the last game i was in had a Zilean who left mid game and Karthus who wouldn't stop feeding who was "tired of getting paired with bad players".

I'm SICK of everyone autoattacking on the lane.
When I zone out someone as Soraka in EVERY fucking game my lanemate takes this as a welcome to autoattack/AoE our creeps and push the lane far enough to make my zoning useless.
I'm level 20, will this ever end?

nope Not until at least >1400 ELO.

Tell them not to. As soraka you will be zoning a huge number of lane matchups, so if he's a pub just tell him to only last hit before 1;30. Even then its not *terrible*, try killing their tower. To be honest, you shouldn't be playing soraka in a pub game(at level 20). ever. Play the carry

Coming off of a game with me on your team, it's easy to see why you would think amumu is the best carry. Also, what are TL's thoughts on abyssal scepter vs FoN on amumu? Obviously you need some MR, but I feel like the health regent from FoN is underwhelming (about 50HP/sec at 3.5k HP), but Abyssal Scepter really helps your team out.
FoN is a luxury item. It´s main quality is that it´s the most MR in a single slot (for defense against abilities I´d actually rank Banshees higher imho). It might be worth it if you have a use for the Movementspeed but Amumu really shouldn´t - use Bandage. The Healthregen is completely irrelevant at the point in the game where you can afford FoN - the best way at that point is to recall, heal up at the well and walk back. It´s faster and less dangerous than waiting in the field, gankable, with less than half HP.

I like FoN after HP stack against poking teams, for obvious reasons. Movement speed is surprisingly good on Amumu because post toss you have a lot of catching up to do, especially if they CC you at least once.
|
I just went 18-3-14* in my second game with Amumu. I stand by FoN against any team that has casters. I also ended up getting Abyssal at the end though, because I needed to do something with my second Negatron Cloak. Seriously Negatron Cloak and Chain Mail are two of the best items in the game.

I want to try either mordekaiser or gragas as tank, any opinions?
|
Gragas is the better tank, if by tank you mean productive member of a team that prevents damage from being put on his allies.
If by tank you mean, dude that takes a lot of damage by existing, but not much else, Morde is your man after the 10 minute mark of any game.

jesus, how many of you guys took Starcraft names? I just started this game tonight, and here are the names that were taken:
Artosis IdrA Artosis[Media] IdrA[Media] Jaedong Lee Jaedong LeeJaedong KT Flash KTFlash ... And loads others. Finally got away with CallMeTasteless

According to the player list here, no one. But I have seen this KTFlash before, he was relatively highly ranked in nonrank.

I just feel that FoN grants stuff you could individally get from other items more effectivly:
Magicresistance? Banshees. HP Regen? Spirit Visage. Sticking to Enemys? Rylais, Ghost, Flash.
It´s worth it if you DO need all of that at the same time but HP regen is kinda worthless, and since Magicresistance is a very expensive stat, ESPECIALLY on FoN I´d rather not overinvvest in it. The movementspeed is the best argument yet FoN is way way overpriced to get it just for the Movementspeed. As good as it is is it WORTH the FoN pricetag, and if MS is so important could you maybe use Swiftness boots?

This is exactly what I do as well. No use having less of a stun that you still wont live through. Atleast I have the confidence that I can get the fuck out of dodge with boots3.

No swiftness, the MR and the anti-CC is too valuable.
Banshee gives less MR, and the actual spellblock effect is generally kinda useless because so many things pop it (like Starcall and Volley). Visage gives like, what, 25 regen at most? Whereas FoN gives like 60 regen per 5. Coupled with the MR it basically makes stuff like Heimerdinger's rockets not faze you at all. It's huge (and admittedly somewhat of a luxury) to get that much extra time pre-initiation, because without regen you're usually forced to decide within 5 seconds whether to go or to back off completely. Later in games, which is when you (I) would get FoN, this anti-poke is quite nice. Rylai doesn't give magic resistance, and you get enough HP from the HoGs/Sunfires. Ghost is nice but when they Ghost too it's nullified, and my other spell is Smite.
My main two items for MR are FoN and Abyssal on most tanks, FoN for the above reasons, Abyssal because it's an offense/defense item and on tanks that becomes really critical. With Rammus I actually end up doing stuff like making Rylai after a certain point.

Note that we're talking about ON AMUMU here, who stacks sunfires, and honestly what else can you make from Negatron? It turns into Banshee's, which is also situational, abyssal, which is a very small amount of mpen and ap, and Quicksilver sash, which is underpowered when you don't ever have to cleanse anything. Honestly Amumu benefits so much from FoN that it's hard to argue against it. It literally works in conjunction with every single one of his items.

By the way I was remarking to Neo a couple nights about how the true carries in this game are all tanks. At the end of the game, a fully farmed Garen is far more disruptive than Ezreal, and certainly the Garen is more likely to kill the Ezreal 1v1, except for Ezreal jumping over a wall. It's just that you don't see this happen often because Ezreal farms significantly faster and forces a game end before Garen can farm up equally as well. But yeah, by the end if one team has 3 really farmed tanks it's really hard to beat them because those 3 tanks just outlast your whole team. Amumu is one such tank that farms incredibly quickly and comes with good innate damage output. That's why I was talking to Brees about how I was supremely confident in Amumu being able to "win it" at the end of a game, meanwhile he was likewise supremely confident in his Warwick being able to "win it" at the end of a game via tanking, etc.
