His team was fine, hence the 38 minute game. They also got first blood on us.

His build didn't matter, because he was perma-kited/CC'd etc. from our AoE shit (Amumu's bind, my AoE snare, Ezreal with Liz), in fact stacking Sunfires probably would have done worse 'cause then he woulda died to me much faster, as opposed to having that FoN (I finished Void at the end), and the Frozen is what netted him a lot of kills during midgame via snare (Liz buff kept bouncing around).

Our Sivir was level 27.

The reality is that when the dust settled down more often than not it was me + Chrispy at 40% hp vs Mordekaiser at 90% hp and we'd just kite him to death and push a tower down.

They even had two tanks really fucking me up because I'd opted for Clarity over Cleanse (lolol bad choice as public enemy #1) and a great supporting cast for Mord. He just can't carry.

Our Sivir didn't even know what Shen does when the game started :o

Well frozen mallet is garbage, he probably would have done much better with a proper build(mass sunfire).

No matter how you spin it mordekaiser just isnt a good tank or dps. Hes very easy to kite and with no minion around he is very easy to kill also.

The problem is that he doesnt have any disruption outside of his damage and if you can ignore than for the most part then hes useless.

I laid out some decent points about HoG back in the day, but particularly with regards to Rammus I didn't realize how useless Sunfires are on him (cuz I didn't play him until pretty recently), hahah.

My biggest problem with all the gold-per-time items is still that they're an investment for the future and don't give you much utility (as opposed to other tank items that give you mad regen etc.), but with jungling tanks you can secure a pretty consistent income early (especially if you're playing greedy and even moreso if the other team lacks a jungler and isn't stopping you). I've been racing as many HoGs as I can based on gameflow pre-20, before shifting back to other items. Like my most recent Amumu game I ended up with 3 HoGs before going into Sunfire stack.

Edit:
I don't have a cut-and-dry rule for how many HoGs I end up with, though. Three tank games ago I ended up with only one, and I don't even remember why and what happened to cause such a rushed build.

I like randuins omen a lot.. so i don't have much of a problem going for HoG then boots then something else then omen

Just as a note, the reason why I've started favoring HoG now is that I'm switching more from a ganktastic jungle tank to a greedy, selfish farming jungle tank that just pops out and carries like a good tank. I'm intending to drag the game into late-game, and HoGs give me the necessary HP (more cost effective than a Sunfire). It doesn't work as well with jungle Rammus I've found because, I don't know, I can't shake off the ganking bug I guess.

imo if you can get 2 HoGs before ~10 minutes, it's always worth it. The stats they give are really good for the price and so on. Sometimes I would just rush a sunfire though, a 12min sunfire can really be a bitch to deal with.

You W after R if that's what you do. You W right before you start autoattacking, then you just spam W and Q like a madman and E whenever needed.

depends on the situation, but if it's out of nowhere 1v1, I go E -> R -> Q -> W -> autoattack them like a boss spamming my Q for when W works it's magic and lets me do it again.

I usually rush one HoG on Singed before getting my RoA unless the enemy has no phys because now it builds into Randuin's late game.

To be honest back in the day HoG had no point.

I still would megarush RoA =P I like the 14min RoAs, really lets you dive and do anything~ I think it's not worth it to delay the RoA for a few hundred gold... But well yeah dunno, I never get Randuins on Singed anyway so whatevs~

Having the rod faster just gives you a little extra ap and hp a few minutes earlier, having the HoG gives you armor, gold, and hp (probably as much as you'd get from having that RoA earlier + more ehp). Honestly it's pretty big. I got the build from a friend who's pretty much mastered singed and he swears by it.

Man wtf. Xin is SO annoying. He has really good base health too so it isnt easy to get the bastard off you if he tries something. Hes like beta Jax but even better than that, its ridiculous.
