And all the commodities that come with it. Really mad teammates, denying me solo lane, raging at everything I say (And I fucking love to say stuff), and then proceed to dominate. Is AP TF still viable? I was rocking that in beta and haven't played since. I would normally take mid lane and win it then gank with ult. I suppose it would also work well in any solo lane.
You mean this post? AP TF is viable, if not the better way to play TF IMO because DPS TF sorta gets out-classed by a lot of other heroes, range notwithstanding. People don't play TF as much anymore because he's not an easy win anymore, similar to Nidalee (dejavu with my conv with Shake last night about the same thing >_> Nidalee is still played, not uncommon either, but she's not in every game anymore because she's no longer a free lane win). Actually with the AP TF discussion I thought that already got answered, hahah.

No not rikimaru, he had like, wind walk, some shuriken toss, a dodge/crit passive thingy, and his ult could track people, reducing armor, making him move faster, and they gave you more gold.
Now that I think of it, i think his name was bounty hunter?

if magina was ONE of the worst champs in the game, gondar (bounty hunter) was THE worst. both of those champs would be great examples for southlight of melee champs that NEED farm that can't get it because they also have 10 hp and no farming skills
on the flipside of the coin, and i think this is a big challenge for IceFrog, BOTH of those heroes can dominate at low level because low level players can't harass/deny well. i have a friend who insists gondar is one of the best champs and he won't listen to my reasoning because he plays battle.net pubs. yeah, of the 100,000,000,000 dota players, in any given game you're gonna have 5 on the other team that (a) can't deny, (b) can't handle flash/invis mechanics (c) can't call for a gank. so magina/gondar are gonna get huge farm and just roll the other team
whereas at upper levels, where good players DO know how to keep magina off creeps and nullify gondar's invisibility, those champs see much, much, MUCH less (if any) use. balancing a game with such a huge skill curve has got to be so frustrating

Oh..... well..... I just spammed windwalk with a tiny bit of mana regen and harassed people out of lane. Good thing dota didnt have an ELO system

Gahhh I need to find a new main. The chances of actually getting Morgana in a ranked game is like 1/10. T_T;

And I still don't buy the argument that creep deny is difficult by any means, it's just an extension of last-hitting. I have always assumed last-hitting is a basic skill (that I suck at lolol!).
I have no idea about the hero matchups in DotA, especially recently. I remember before I quit they fucked up CM's ult so it was so much weaker -_- And they reworked storm and I don't even remember what happened there.
For the record I don't deny that LoL has a significantly weaker competitive scene, although I'd bet that if CLG/GJ's squad were to play a top-end HoN team and they played both games we'd have both teams defending their turfs on their respective games... because they're very different games. i agree with your first paragraph. LoL definitely isn't a bad game, i love it. it's got different mechanics from dota that work well on their own... it's just that dota is better, lol. there were a ton of bad things that LoL fixed (terrible ui being the primary one), they just forgot/chose not to bring a lot of the best features over too. like if dota is a 10/10, then lol is like a 9/10. still a great game just not living up to its potential. but dota 2 will fix this imo yeah, you probably stopped playing when storm got his huge buff. the most recent patch gave him a big nerf but up until then he's been a top pick/ban and one of the best solo mid champs in the game. you need more IMOs, especially when rating games on a scale from 1-10 imo.
imo: LoL = 8/10 DotA = 6.5/10 IMO IMO IMO
my standards are high and my tastes much prefer LoL.

Incidentally imo = potato in Japanese.
Thereby I propose re-naming him potatosaurus.

Everyone's gonna be like "IMO LoL is better" or "IMO DotA is better" and nobody's going to change their minds. EVER.
This is the LoL thread, so discuss LoL. Discuss DotA 2 in the DotA 2 thread.
As an aside, I am seriously considering buying Gangster Twitch just so I can yell "BRAKKABRAKKABRAKKA" when I ult ^^

Ok stfu about dota 2
I just lost a game where I had enough cash to buy a guardian angel at 6 MINUTES. Tapioca on Pantheon and me on Cho were 7-x-x (7-0-x here woohoo) at 10 minutes in and we still got rolled late cuz we didn't have a dps.
Well, I mean, we had a trist, but he ended the game with 64 creep kills or something. I wanted to play her, too, guaranteed to carry on tristana nowadays.
|
I can't stand playing Trist >_<
Her base attack animation blows and she moves really slow.
|
if you had had a halfway competent zilean, I guarantee you guys would've won.

The people that will switch to Dota2 will be the people that complain about low elo hell and how every game they get a feeder on their team. They'll come back when they realize it's not just their teammates, IMOIMOIMO.
Oh and the people that like hour long games and shitty game mechanics, imoimoimo.
Oh and neoillusions, you need to work on your ap teemo imoimo.

LoL is clearly superior...
We have WAY more posts than Hon/Dota. Those n00bs are gonna need Dota 2 to even be close to reaching our spam.
|
I'm running arpen quints/marks and attackspeed glyphs/seals on her right now with flash/ghost 0/8/22 (sos + flash mastery) and it's the simplest thing in the world to avoid any and all danger unless I want to go for pentakills by chain jumping with red buff. Every time I switch from someone else to her as my main I'm like "oh yeah, I forgot how easy it was to carry with her" and start doing silly things like triple snowball to spice the game up.
|
I prefer my troll-page Twitch. He moves okay, has map control, and his attack animation is ridiculously good. Also his ult is press R to win. By contrast Trist has this really shitty attack animation (because she attacks really slowly until you get aspd) and she moves so cumbersomely... maybe it's just because I'm used to heroes that just zip around everywhere they want, but... yeah. I hate playing Trist.

SHORYUKENNEN v1.1
Pre-game mpen/ep5plvl/mresplvl/ms 9/0/21 flash/ghost
rune protips: ep5plvl yellows are a must, spam those skills even without blue buff (Kennen is a monster with blue btw, hog it). There's some leeway with the Quints. Salce runs flat HP. Mogwai swears by flat AP. I had flat ep5 up until I heard about them pulling flash out of the game. I'm experimenting with movespeed to compensate my positioning. It'll depend on how good the flash replacement is.
Skills QWQEQR / R>Q>W>E
All 3 of Kennen's skills are amazing, but you want to max Q first as it makes laning a breeze. Farm or harass from 1000 range.
Items dshield + hpot hog sorc boots rylais zhonyas / abyssal / randuins in some order as dictated by the game.
Need mres? Go abyssal. Is there a snowballing enemy twitch? Finish randuins. Want to call down the thunder? Zhonyas. Kennen loves survivability.
or you could just skip my guide and listen to Salce: http://www.epikgamer.com/forums/index.php?/topic/319-kennen-guide/
