Also I'd say Mayhem for instance is better than Milkfat, just doesn't play in an actual team and doesn't play in tournaments, many people are like that. I wouldn't say top 50-100 US in HoN is good, either, especially since I think that the overall skill level in EU is higher.

Then know that in HoN, at the very least, he amounted to next to nothing. He got "sponsored" by a bogey, shady company ran by a scam artist, while stat-abusing/stat-padding to gain more PSR/recognition/e-fame. Since this "sponsorship" was terminated, due to the less than stellar performance of his clan as well as its eventual breakup, he has not appeared in any competitive tournaments for a good five? months now. His clan did not win a single significant tournament in HoN, both in its closed beta stage and after retail (although I don't think he even played competitively in retail).

don't know if they are 100% reliabe, but atleast someone else than Shikyo has an opinion on him (backing up Shikyo's statement)

It's 1/16th of her old range. 1/24th of Ashe's range. It's nothing. Maybe a movement speed/range relation tells you more: With 300 MSpd it takes 2 seconds to cross 600 range. So Sivir now has at most 1/12th of a second more time before an enemy can close up to her.
Holy crap, Annie has the highest base range in the game? AD Annie ftw!
Annie doesn´t splash her attack damage.
Sivir used to be a hyperbrutal laner like Zilean before they made her almost melee because she simply needs to hit ANYTHING and it will harrass your opponent. Even one bounce means she hits one target for 100% of her AD and a second for 78%. That alone means she has effectivly 178% AD for almost free.
She needed the buff because she is squishy and can´t really autoattack in a Teamfight without getting instantly exploded as shed have to step right into the AoE. This has been lessened a bit with the range increase.
so they gave this random 450,000 RP/IP? god i hate RIOT. according to locodoco they gave the random SEA WCG players the same amount in preparation for WCG too (when i played with one of them he didn't even know what heroes were good soloes or how ban structure worked). meanwhile, dozens of other hard-working NA players got 2000 RP for essentially self-organizing and running NA WCG in order to make RIOT look good in the end. what the fuck is up with this company?
Well it is definitely true that you want to be fair in terms of the rewards you can give out to people, however, it makes sense to provide larger incentives to the market that you have yet to properly break into. In this case though, considering that the RP and IP is essentially free to them, not giving that much to the NA players does seem a bit of a dick move on Riot's part.
Basically, they've got the NA market down, what the hell do they care about you after that
Seems like not only should they be rewarding the NA players who did wcg in general, but the NA players who have supported their game.. and even put a little $ in to it. Seems dumb to me
And you thought HotShotGG needed to learn something about humility!
Yeah Milkfat just is -_-;;;;;;;;;;;;;,
@Above
You can't just autoattack ricochet spam with Sivir unless you want to be ganked by the jungler
You aren´t exactly autoattackspamming, you just make shure that the opponent is zoned. Against some this does mean you spam and push.
The trick when you pushed the lane is not to wait for the jungler to pop up behind you but to go to the jungle yourself and farm the creeps there or go back to buy.

have i told you the story about how 5 of the 7 members of my team essentially retired from the competitive scene or from the game entirely after the debacle that was WCG qualifiers? about how a majority of the other teams disbanded as well for various reasons (one of the major ones being RIOT's absolute and consistent stupidity). RIOT can keep making dick moves but it'll just keep disenfranchising many of the top players. if WCG NA were to start up again tomorrow, i doubt it would be even half as competitive as it was the previous time around. not that it matters since their qualifiers coverage basically didn't exist and they only want CLG to win anyways. and they fucked up the servers so bad from the start that the true top players (koreans) can't even qualify for WCG.
tl;dr - as long as Marcou, Pendragon and crew are in charge, this game has no future in esports

I read a post on the official forums that I thought reflected the situation quite well. Rather than this move 'promoting' LoL, what it actually seems to do is put a magnifying glass on one of the worst issues this game has competitively: the 'grind' to lvl 30 + a stable of solid champs + runes(pages). If Riot has to essentially bypass this entire system to get people to take the competitive side of their game seriously(and word is the SEA people are going right back to DotA) that's not exactly a great sign.
Even with them taking away his IP/RP bonus, it clearly already left everyone with a bad taste in their mouths that Riot would just shit on their actual customer base so readily(especially the 450k RP part, people pay good money for some of those legendary skins).

Atlanta's a good kid. Has solid play, just don't leave team decisions to him.

if that's true then it's fucking hilarious.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's true. Chawy was one of the SEA guys who's accounts got "bufffed" by Riot. Chawy and the rest of AS (the SEA WCG team) are back to DotA and Loco got Chawy's account.
"lol, we're going to go back to a game where we can deny" - Loco, paraphrasing Chawy's reason for leaving haha

I read those and all the complaints you have and how you wanted to retire after that
Well...we are on a Starcraft forum, how many of us remember here the early days of SC2 announcement and talks of whether Blizzard care or not? In Riot's case, they don't really care. It seems to me that their profit model really doesn't call for a stable high level competitive scene. From the way they are going about things, but it is pretty evident that they aren't counting on those things either. If they can, they'll get whatever coverage they could (WCG, GDC nominations) and look for ways to attract the eyes of other players from HoN and DotA. But otherwise they just aren't trying too hard to make a scene that's appealing to the competitive players. Skins and champs and boosts aren't sold to the players that are just going to grind it up.
Meh, unless Riot has a change of heart, LoL will probably never get anything in the ways of a stable high end competition.
