I mean, granted, I still have to do a lot of that in the 1600 range, but I'd say in that bracket it's more like 15-25% of the game pinging and typing rather than 40-60%.
EDIT: and I just remembered that the reason I thought of this was that I played against a 4 ignorable champs + twitch team last night with a 20 stack pantheon on my team who refused to buy any survivability and Panth and Rammus were using their stun + taunt on Shen EVERY SINGLE FIGHT, then Twitch pops and kills our whole team. God, it was so infuriating. What's so hard to understand about "wait for the twitch, DO NOT USE YOUR DISABLES ON ANYONE ELSE"? I just don't get why some people just won't listen.
:O you actually make the effort. Sometimes, I give up because people don't respond to one ping, you have to ping at least 20 times to get them moving.

Reminds me of the south park episode.
SIMPSONS DID IT SIMPSONS DID IT.
Who cares if HoN/DotA did something similar? It's like bashing a modern FPS game for having regenerating HP instead of health packs. Yeah, it's been done before but it works very well and makes the game more fun.

Sure, I'll mock something up tonight with what I'm thinking. And along with this, I wanna start banning twitch because he kinda ruins everything by being cloaked and even without establishing a warding strategy we seem to lose a disproportionally large amount of games to twitch.
|
I actually do that in solo q when nid. After first back I buy 2-3 wards, try to get our red (this is the hardest part), ward buffs, and dick their jungle with my red and early game strength.
Problem with this is you guys would never take top for me/give me red so it's a bit hard. We should try it next time.

Swain feels like a renewed "project malzahar"
I hope not they are putting my dear malzy away now

to an extent, I agree, but I think it needs to be more coordinated than just that. what you just described is a solo queue strategy, specifically designed around poor coordination, I think we just need to refine exactly how we're going to dick their jungle over and deny them from getting freefarm anywhere.

The one time I did it I got a kill on Yi and pushed top hard, I think it's strong regardless of enemy team coordination, but I don't know.
We should maybe do panth push bot with red, I push top with blue (nid). We push the 2 lanes extremely hard and have their whole jungle warded to see if theyre coming for us. If you see them coming for you, you bait them while we baron and if they go for me you can kill bot/mid since they will never catch me.

So in my quest to become a half decent LoL player I tried buying wards in my normal solo queue, and what do you know, we get a gank on two guys trying to do the dragon early <3
Any tips on when to get wards and place them? Is there any special timing for it and are there special champs that should do it only? ( I play anivia )
Also when should you do dragon and baron respectivly?, obviously dragon is easier but eh.. yeah but any specific level you should be? Should you do it when the enemy team got some deaths etc or is it any point in risking a early dragon kill in a fairly low level game ( laning phases etc) ?

Duh I just found out that not getting a Catalyst after GB/B causes huge mana issues on Ashe. Not so much because of the level up bonus - I usually get it at level 16, Sapphire crystal maybe level 15 - but because of the increased mana pool. Or rather the lack of it. I even had a Janna with Soul Shroud on my team but it just wasn't enough. Our enemies were somewhat heavy on AD, at least the ones I cared about, so I opted for Atmas before Veil. I'm probably not going to do that again anytime soon.
What I have also been doing is - starting with DShield most of the time (no more Regrowth) - buying Mana Potions starting around level 9 (to compensate for the lack of Philo Stone)
Mana Potions are obviously more flexible than MP5 items, but I suck at using them while poking :p They are cheaper as a short term solution, and as soon as I hit level 16 I should have much less of a mana issue anyways.

TL massinvite 5s went pretty well today. 21-7, 27 minute win. Poppy had all but one of their kills and that was by playing nuke-one-person-and-run.
Jungle Mundo new FotM.
oh and I'm now +60 W/L yaaay

First solo q game in about a week. I pick twitch (need to practice the new fotm) and my masteries bug. Neither team has a jungler accept for our shaco who got red buff at lvl 1 and got a double kill because of our Sona running summoner Heal. My lane buddy Alistar dies to kennen/taric. I get a kill later and go kill Mf mid. I kill mid while Shaco gets another 2 kills top lane. Their team afk's and we finish the game in 12 minutes.
Oh 1600 elo <3

Just asking, but do you regularly get golem, and run mp/5 per lvl and the mp regen masteries?
Blue on ashe with volley is just pure poking gayness.

so what's the consensus on sona? should she built more RoA tanky so that she can get in there and soak up some hits while she's dealing damage, healing, buffing etc, or should she built just more like a caster with zhonyas AA etc?
does anybody have a build?

I dunno if I'd even consider a catalyst after Ghostblade. If you're getting it after Brutalizer that's fine, though.

I've been playing a lot of Sona recently. Take my thoughts for what they're worth since I'm level 19 ^_^
Soaking really depends on team comp and how aggressive the enemy team is. I like to start with a Meki pendant and 2 hp pots. You can stay in lane forever pretty much since you can spam heals. If you have mp5/lvl runes you can probably start with something else...I almost always build a tear of the godness since I have mana issues and turn it into an archangel's staff if time permits and I want the extra AP.
I like rushing a Mejal's. You're gonna be humping people all game for assists so you can easily get quite a few stacks. Zonya and Soul Shroud if I'm getting focused a lot or Rylai if people keep getting away. I have problems farming my lane generally as I just let my ally take all the last hits. Farming a RoA would be very impractical for me, but I suck so ^_^

Just level up poison and build rod of ages as you normally would I guess.
I made it work by taking sapphire crystal + 2 pots first actually, but I doubt it's the best.
