"Nokarot" on US. My ping is only ~100 in EU games though and I've never felt a hiccup, feels like 0 ping either way. Will idle the teamliquid channel after GOMTV is over :O

EX skills, too. For those who didnt know, when you mouse over the tooltip, there will be a blue and a red ability (in some cases). If you hold control, you can use your ult meter to use an EX skill.

Or just 1/2.

Gonna try this out tonight. Have tried to get into the beta for a while, failed, gave up and forgot about the game. Nice surprise to see it's free now!

Went ahead and paid $30 for it. Could have spent another $10 to get the last 4 heroes, but didn't bother. Also, if you get the $30 package, you get enough ~funcom points~ to buy one of the four last heroes, assuming you don't want to go for costumes or whatever.
Got about 10k blood coins, so I'm just saving up so that I can get all the heroes before I start going for the cosmetic stuff :O

I've been playing this since mid beta; still play every once in a while. Add me: hatsoff

First impressions: really fun. Slightly sluggish movement controls and some odd bugs concerning movement (for instance: when starting the match and holding A and W, I will only walk forward, not left. And no, my keyboard doesn't suck so bad it can't handle two keys at once.)
Game balance, in my opinion as a new player, probably decent but a little tricky to figure out. For instance, assassin dudes wayyyyy too fast in CTF so pretty much impossible to catch once they have an artifact. Also, invisible. Probably manageable because they're not as strong so they can't get through tight defense, but some maps won't allow that and they will just cloak or jump into the base, grab the artifact and sprint out. Nothing you can do about it if you weren't waiting right there for them.
Another example: all-tank teams in Arena mode. How the hell do you counter that when they smash up any other character in no time and your crowd control spells have a cooldown? Healers just get picked off immediately and you can only *try* to sleep potion them once every 8 seconds. If it misses, you're dead. If it hits, you're dead 3 seconds later. Probably some formation thing I still need to figure out, but it seems odd that 3x the same class would be able to roflstomp a balanced team.
Anyway, I'll play this for a while longer and see if I like it enough to warrant a purchase.

so is it free? when i click to make an account i dont see anywhere to go that isnt buying T_T... this looks like a fun/harder version of other moba's

That bug happens to me at the beginning, too, but only for a second.
Regarding CTF/Arena balance, it kinda changes a bit when you get more heroes (or bought the Champions Edition.) The ones that you start with for free, I would say that Glutton is the most powerful. However, when played right, healer is amazing. Barrier yourself like crazy. Sleep works wonders if your allies don't attack them afterwards (waking them up) and clarity potion can knock people away. Admittedly, it takes a bit of work to learn it, but she can survive quite well. I've lost many games where our teams strategy was "focus the healer" and we got wiped without getting her half down. Given that those heroes are "temporarily available," I think theres a weekly-or-something free champion rotation.

When you're making your account, it will have the $30 package, the $90 package and then below that, it wont have a picture, but there will be this link that says "Go" or something. That's the free one.

My favorite is Psychopomp but I'm thinking of switching to Alch because Alch simply has stronger overall damage prevention... Psycho's monstrous at baiting the other team (and being able to switch bait every 11.5 seconds) but otherwise she feels relatively lackadaisical ;;
She's a great side-healer though if you run that sort of setup because her RMB hurts like hell and you can't stop her from focusing your healer... + she can keep pinging the healer away from the team with her Spacebar.

been playing this since beta. its really, really good. pure skills. needs a bigger player pool, download and tell your friends! gogo :D

K, started to figure out Igniter a bit more, at least when it comes to surviving melee situations. Read up a bit on playing that character and apparently he's all about the combos. Aren't too hard to do against non-ladder newbies, but I'm curious to see how it'll go when I hop back on ladder.
Still not sure how to do that with the healer chick (Sleep and Confusion bomb are nowhere near as potent as crowd control spells as Igniter's volcano, Living Flame and Seaing Displacement), but that's my goal for next week;)

^ A newish player LF a team, or rather a group of people, to ladder with and practice. I like this game a lot.

Add me, DarQraven/DarQ (don't know which one to give you, account name or character name :/)

Psycho can pressure people very well, and has solid damage if you can keep the Spirit Link debuff on them. With Alch, basically you can't afford to make a mistake, such as missing the sleep or wasting the Barrier. If you can avoid getting hit without using spells (dodging with WASD, and using the pillars and other map features) it helps a lot, dodging charges (mostly Glutton's Rush) is essential (you can sleep them after they miss it, and they are out of the fight for quite a long time, giving you some room to heal up your teammates or pressure someone).

I should start playing this again, had tons of fun during beta, playing mainly Inhibitor (it's amazing when you manage to time everything right) with occasional Ravener when melee and Herald when healer, sometimes Astronomer.
Skills and stuff have probably changed quite a bit from then though. Used to play 2's with me as Inhibitor and friend as Assasin as he was pretty good at him and 3's with me as Ravener or Herald depending on rest of the team. Got to the common mid grades, 7 I think, with ease but stopped playing eventually when none of my friends were online.
Though most of custom games felt really easy after some team laddering, unless you got paired with absolutely horrible team and decent/good opponents.

There will be a 3v3 Tournament hosted by BLGaming in about 50minutes. Stream can be found here.

+1. It's pretty intense.I guess it may be hard to get into if you haven't played the game, but it's exciting, tune in

I love playing Glutton in random team matches So nice when you manage to stick close to someone and remain at max buffs. Not uncommon that you end matches at around 12-14 Points/sec if your opponents are bad at avoiding you.
