Besides this series has been atrociously reffed both ways so I'm sure even David Stern doesn't want a repeat of 03-07 NBA days. f you watch closely enough, there hasn't been one play without fouls away from the ball, hacking on drives and so on. The refs can't call all of them (or else it would end up being a one on one game in the second quarter, with Williams and Powell going at it), so they have to call only ones that they find more offensive, and then there are things that are cumulative like flopping, complaining, trying to match numbers of fouls to both team to not appear biased, etc. The only way is an extra ref viewing the camera feeds... otherwise people will be rewarded for acting skills and knowing how to handle the refs.
And this hasn't been happening for years? You don't get the rep of being a flopper by accident.

We meant outside of Boston :O
Anyway Artest is killing LA's offense -_-

Bryant needs to stop jacking 3s.

Hm, maybe his team was not great, but he couldn't get past the similarly mediocre Jason Kidd led Nets in the conference finals.

he's not entirely being detrimental. people think when he shoots a lot it's just him being selfish, it's all part of a game plan... Kobe realized that this game is really important so he's putting extra effort into making sure they win this game. his shots aren't going in , but a lot of them have been good shots. he's getting to his spots, they just aren't going in.
you don't become a great scorer if you stop shooting whenever you are cold.

Lmao in 02 Pierce carried Cs on his shoulders to East finals and Shaq himself (imagine 02 Shaq) said "Paul Pierce is the fucking truth, quote me on that one take nothing out, I knew he could play but I never knew he could play like this."

agreed. Kobe isn't just shooting wild he's actually putting up some absolute daggers.

This game has become a brawl... awesome!

I generally agree, but the last couple seemed out of rhythm. In any event, the Lakers are winning with their defense.

Paul Pierce, most points 2001-2002, 4th most points 3 years around that, which happen to be the Shaq/Iverson years, ppg 8th, 3rd, 5th, 5th, 6th. Career almost 20k points.
Overall he's at least as good as Iverson, if not better if you these last few years. Maybe a bit worse than TMac/Vince in their prime, but a better career.

He's clutch, they're not. Sure, they are far more athletically gifted, but they never had the determination. Discussion over.

Yea, obviously he forces some of his shots now and again. Think Jordan never did that? When he's in this mode, he senses the importance of the game so he feels more pressure to overperform and overcompensate that leads him to force some shots that he possibly shouldn't take. Overall though, it hasn't been entirely bad.
I think the reffing has been generally shoddy on both sides. This game has been SO physical btw. And uh, no comments yet - but Bynum got injured. Unsure of how serious it is. TT~

How was that not a blocking foul on Bryant? He was in the restricted area, his body wasn't square, he was moving his feet...

go to the hoop on that rondo

This game isn't even close to Orl-Bos physicality.

Kobe so annoying man, I'd be okay if he hit his good shots but he stumbles around, gets defended and hits a 3 on the buzzer, it's just ridiculous. Sometimes I just know he is goign to hit when the shot looks impossible.
Yeah about Rondo, why don't Doc tell him straight up to give up the shot at the end of the quarter, this keeps happening every game. Just let either Pierce or Allen do this, it seems so logical (or let Nate close like he did first quarter).
