And you use the medium version of the fireball to od it. If you want to combo into super, do the super before the fireball hits. | ||

Your reaction time just isn't fast enough, or he's calling an assist. In mvc3 the hit-stun gets smaller after every connection. So it's possible that he's calling an assist in to allow him to OTG you again afterwards, but you really can't be 100-0 in this game unless you're someone like Phoenix in which case it's your own fault for having her on point (and not being able to stay out of danger like that) What's the skill level like in Vegas? I've been playing for a month or so now and I'm beasting all the kids at a hookah lounge I play at with friends. Edit: Usually after a single OTG combo you can roll out of anything or at least block, but wesker is a hero that's VERY hard to deal with b/c the second you finish that roll if you're not blocking he can jump behind you and start the whole process over again. | ||

i have a couple questions, i haven't played online yet but is the lag bad? what's the best way to get started, i just read through the shoryuken wiki and i'm almost done most of the mechanics. any things i really need to learn that will improve me drastically? pad or controller? i jacked my bro's pad and i see most people using it. | ||

No, he can definitely OTG as many times in a combo as he can think of ways to fight the hitstun degradation. Assists like Chun can extend it, Xfactoring can extend it, the right combos let you do it twice on his own, etc etc. there's no 1 otg rule like mvc2. For the record you can absolutely be 100-0'd in this game, very easily and without xfactor. Between unscaled level 3's and damage resetting dhc's, you probably ought to have some kill combos on your squad somewhere. @shawster, learn your characters bnbs. Being able to hit your damage when the opportunity presents itself makes fighting games easier to learn (and a lot more fun!). Dont need anything fancy, but just a basic combo maybe into a super that you can do almost every time. And remember that while it is a fighting game, running away, spacing, and blocking is just as important as rushing in at people. Use whatever input method is most comfortable for you, that's where you'll find the most success. | ||

I'm going to have to take magnetro's word on it =\ but aside from Magneto's slide infinite, I don't think its that practical anyway, otherwise we'd be doing it a lot more and MvC2 will never die. NEVER | ||

Does anyone else have really bad connections to every game they're not hosting on XBL? (not extremely bad, but fps goes down to like 20 or 10 and every combo has to be pulled off slower). ((edit: I'm on a nice university connection so I shouldn't have a crap connection)) How do you deal with wolverine as zero? How do you deal with Tron's "Gustav Fire/Flame(?)". I was owning all of my friends pretty relentlessly until someone found out how long her invincibility is with this assist. He's pretty intelligent at using it, so I can't just time it anymore and rape her with Dante's ranged hyper. Last question, does anyone else have problems with she-hulk doing the zig hyper instead of the quarter-circle-forward hyper even after the input at the bottom of the screen is correct? (down down S, towards, X, quarter-circle-forward MH = "How bout a nice hug? *raaage*" I know it's a good option to use, but you have to time it way later, so I can't just hope that the right one will work as neither of them will connect if I time it for the opposite. Thanks guys, will be checking thread back. I wish TL could notify me or something...probably can. | ||

I think I read Tron has a vulnerable low hitbox when she's doing the flames, but it's really hard to find the opportunity up close. Either punish it from fullscreen with a hyper, punish her with an even more invincible assist (Haggar), or snap her in and deal with her on point. | ||

In all the VODs I've seen, I've only seen someone actually land an normal attack on Tron during Gustav Flame assist once. The character was somehow behind Tron when the assist came, so she got hit from behind. I think it was an X-23 that Talon Attacked horizontally and landed behind Tron almost at the same instance she came out. Other than that, if you anticipate the assist you can punish with a beam Hyper, but so far I've never seen someone hit Tron from the front. Can't hit her low, can't jump over it and hit her with an overhead. | ||
