You said yourself you live in hawaii, guess how long it takes for stuff to travel from hawaii to even the west coast, let alone if you match up against east coast players. Yah, i know, trade off of living in paradise right... Sc2 is laggy as sh1t here too, but at least its playable... It seems strange as there is more going on in starcraft than in MvC3, i guess its a super fast game though...

The netcode for it is amazingly bad, so bad that even within state most people I know try to avoid playing online. The other half of it is that lag in starcraft doesn't matter much until you're at a very high level, and even then it's not that bad. If you had an sc2 match where your inputs are all delayed by 1/6th of a second, you'd probably never notice. But in a fighter, that's 10 frames, which is a HUGE amount of time. That means you'd have to be blocking the correct direction for a crossup or an overhead 10 frames before it happened, and most overheads aren't more than 15-20 frames, with many being even less. It also makes comboing stupidly hard because your eyes are essentially giving you false info.

I pinged last night and was consistently getting 190 - 200 at this new place i am living. Gonna call my ISP to see if i can upgrade my service somehow.

Don't know if the reduction is overboard...not enough time to judge. But it's nice to see Sentinels dying like flies on WNF.

The horrors of patching. Don't know if the reduction is overboard...not enough time to judge. But it's nice to see Sentinels dying like flies on WNF. errr, only the reaper change happened once the game actually went live. And the reaper one happened because And this part is important! because terrans were showing in tournaments that they could consistently open 5rax reaper on every map every game in TvZ and always either win or be at an advantage because of it. The culmination, ofc, being the IEM tournament, where it got abused all the way through grand finals. There has been no such Sentinel domination. Or even Sentinel tournament wins. And then, the patch didn't even address the real problem. It's similar to if they had changed the reaper hp instead of the speed upgrade and build time. It'd have lower hp but would still abuse the hell out of zergs just the same. Starting to use wolverine more now. Wolv + Chun is a sick combo, but I can't seem to fit a good middle character in there too well. I've been trying Storm for the DHC glitch, but it doesn't seem to work all too well in practice. Also using CapA there, but he's got almost no synergy going, just himself being a baller ![]() @Kosi, just don't make the mistake a lot of people make and spend all your time in training mode. Even laggy online matches will help more than just training mode time by a noticeable amount. The more matches you can get in between now and tourney the better. Even bad players can teach you how to avoid being randomed out by stupidity! Great example of that is Codylicious just mashing on akuma super vs floe on WNF. And floe getting hit by it because he wasn't used to someone being that... dumb about it lol.
