1. I've never seen him use Sentinal or Phoenix 2. All 3 of the teams he uses include one of my favorite 3 characters from the game: Amaterasu, Wolverine, and Spiderman. | ||

Let's look at what DPX has to sacrifice to even be out -Time (in getting meter, harder to do than in previous games) -Potential Damage (since you're saving meter) -the fact that she's paper and can't make any mistakes or else she dies. I'm going to just emphasize once again that it doesn't matter what damage she can do or how easily she can do it, there are many ways to deal with her, and even when she's out and the mental threat to you is that she can kill you in one snap of her finger, you have to realize that you can do the same as well. Besides this is marvel: A game where the mentality of "don't get hit" and "Kill it before it happens" reigns supreme. + its been *2 weeks* Just my two cents though, I find it understandable that people complain about it. I just don't see the point. If people were to ban Dark Phoenix, you're essentially going to ban Phoenix as well or else you have some pretty stupid Banning mechanism that will screw up the game. | ||

The most difficult thing about her is just that when she turns Dark Phoenix she bursts you out of position, turns on xfactor (usually level 3) and then teleports on or behind the opponent, and has insane priority/fast normals which jsut starts up the 100%. After that you roll in opponents mid screen so they can't even counter her until they hit the ground, but they never do hit the ground. It seems powerful for now but there'll be a way to hit her. | ||

I've been thinking about playing Chun, anyone have any team recommendations? I was looking at something like Chun, Sent, Storm. Chun, from what I've seen, is a really good meter independent rushdown char so I can back her up with Sent's godlike assist and just build hella meter to abuse with Sent or Storm. Just hold down the button of the char you want to come out. Assist 1 for who you picked 2nd and Assist 2 for who you picked 3rd. Let's say I picked Zero, Sent, Ammy. If I want Ammy to be my point char I'll hold down Assist 2 as the match is loading. That will swap Ammy and Zero in my line up. | ||

PS. I've been playing her point with Haggar (Lariat Assist) and Tron (Gustaff Fire Assist). It's not optimal IMO as Haggar and Tron cross over rolls so I'll probably replace one or the other with someone who has a projectile cover assist. Sentinel is also an option as he can burn meter with Xfactor 3 if I make a mistake and lose Phoenix as well as Akuma or Dante since they're both all around good. | ||

edit: oh and the matches of ryry vs justin made ryry look pretty bad when all weekend ryry has put on the most ridiculous play only shadowed by justin also lol Zlasher i check your twitter for the first time i see @GenoZStriker I've been saying it since day 1 and people on TL shitting on me because they're salty. WC is better in Super, AE, and Marvel  | ||

Sometimes I wish he weren't so GDLK in mvc so that we would've gotten Justin vs WC (instead of Sanford) and maybe even a Justin-Neo (sanford-ideally, but that never really happened). Its sad how eventually, everyone gave up on playing MM's with justin because he's just too good. | ||

 This would be a lot easier if I had a fightstick QQ. My fightstick's for the 360, and I don't use the 360 anymore (No live and the damn thing doesn't have an HDMI port, so old) so I got the game for my PS3. | ||

I mean its not like WC completely SHITS on EC, EC can compete but you play 1000 games randomly from top 10 west coast vs top 10 east coast in every game and west coast wins more than 500. Brawl doesn't count Oh, but East coast is def. better in Tekken 6 lol. I'm not sure about the blazblue/guiltygear anime style 2d games, i guess im' just talking about super and marvel Glad you had fun, my friend ended up not going cuz he couldnt' get a ride there and back (tho to be fair I don't think he put enough of an effort in  ) he said he's considering going to evo, and east coast throwdown, so we'll see | ||

anyway my friends hated mvc3 so didn't enter teams but played singles. so disappointed in my mvc3 play esp. since it was the game i practiced the most for this tournament. first random guy i lose to got killed by basically rushing into invincible t-bonne assist and getting fierced by magz and then lost to one of the random DMG guys that isn't inthul/chaos/lud/etc to lame sent/dourmammu. only guy i beat was a crappy zero/IM/sent team. still need to step my game up in 3. personally thinking of switching out dante (or at least his assist). the same problem i had in mvc2 with mag is that i was terrible at getting in on lame teams, and i probably need a better assist to cover magneto (running jam session and samurai edge assists atm) as far as spectating, the entire tournament was pretty awesome. best fucking part of the whole tournament was winners finals dnyc beats justin's team after phoenix gets snapped in but gets D phoenix anyway and wins. at this point justin begins walking off and hands the stick to noel for the 2nd set until d nyce gets up and starts poppin off "THIS AINT CALI SON FLORIDA NIGGA" and justin turns around and steals the stick from noel and says "Get ready to play in 1 minute". he SCRAPES kiets in 30 seconds and while justin is blocking a desperation super he leans over kiets snaps his fingers to dnyce's face and does IRL 3S ken taunt. that shit was crazy. pretty sure ppl watching the stream could hear this, but you had to be there to see all of it. as i said earlier easily the best tournament i been to. that man ryry is a beast. not sure if the stream showed desmond xecutioner (NYC mvc2 thrax player) play at all but he's hella solid too. those two and d'nyce really impressed me this weekend in mvc3. what justin did was to be expected of justin  | ||
