Olaf is amazing, I don't know what you heard.
He's like udyr before he got super nerfed.
High damage output, an obscene amount of lifesteal, and he does more damage the more you kill him...
To put this in perspective: with almost no items and about 200 hp I solo'd dragon and had ~900 after it was over.
His only real crutch is his mana pool sucks.

Regrowth Pendant Attack Speed Boots Zeal + Agility Elixir Agility Cloak (or whatever it's called) ??????? Agi elixers are awesome if you feel you dont have good enough crit chance.

My guess is that they decided she stomps newbies enough that she didn't need to become stronger >_>

His slow-axe isn't a disable?

How come no one is talking about the ridiculous Ez nerf? I dont know if i want to main ez anymore if they patch him like this. I mean, ud pretty much have to go ad from now on. I dont see essence flux being of much use in an ap build as they are essentially making it half its previous utility.

It does seem like a major nerf. I consider Ez top tier right now (and I'm definitely not alone) -- not only is he good, he's VERY flexible (heal, DPS, burst, whatever). It's almost like Riot wants him to not even be top tier.

Essence flux still does a lot of damage.
Ezreal needed this nerf so he wasn't head and shoulders above almost every other champion.
The healing nerf was needed (as its pretty much impossible to beat without a ton of anti-healing or kat/pirate) and the AS nerf is not so crippling that you cant play him anymore, its just not as easy to auto-win.
And before you say I know nothing; I have more games played with Ezreal than any other champion and I think this is more than fair. Especially if they lower the mana cost of Essence Flux like suggested.

Riot has generally systematically nerfed "top-tier" heroes, so I don't understand how this is possibly surprising to anyone. I for one welcome it. The game doesn't need a bazillion hybrid heal heroes. The game doesn't even need a bazillion heroes that have a heal, period.
Snares are not disables, by the way. Not even close. However it does make Olaf slightly more viable as a tank than Mord, if he is in fact a tank at all. As it is it seems to me more like he's a DPS hero ala Yi/Trynd, and calling Trynd a tank that has a disable (Trynd has an AoE snare, too!) is kind of a joke :p

I dont see essence flux being of much use in an ap build as they are essentially making it half its previous utility. well... he had it coming. even after the nerf, essence flux was still a soraka ult on a 7 second CD. the ASPD buff/debuff was so damn broken. he isn't a gamebreaker like janna is but is still top top tier.
regardless, AP will still outclass AD in every way after the nerf. the dmg values stay the same so his bursting capability will remain top-tier. i guess you can't think of him as a true "healer" anymore and that will push him down in people's "IMBA" lists but he'll still be a good character due to his ridiculous burst damage output, decent laning presence, free flash, and semi-global ult.
edit: btw that change to Q will break him even more for lvl 1 TT fights. red pot ez is already ridiculously strong but this will give him an even bigger boost.

Something about soloing dragon, can't state exact numbers.
His only real crutch is his abilties cost hp instead of mana. Actually, it's not really a crutch.

It means Sheen Ez will be ridiculously hard-hitting :x
|
I agree he needed the nerf, but this is slightly overboard. Q did not need the buff at all and i agree a red pot ez will just own lvl one now. Maybe i wouldnt find it so bad if they nerfed it a different way. The heal i dont mind so much, but i dont like the AS buff/debuff changed by so much. Lvl2 EF is now Lvl5 EF.
Especially if they lower the mana cost of Essence Flux like suggested. if they did this i wouldnt mind so much, but that wasnt in the release notes so i didnt know about it.

The buff/debuff nerf was needed. Are you people serious. We're talking about one skill that does inordinate damage, heals (even if the heal got nerfed), and buffs/debuffs, all in a good AoE blast! Warwick does all 3, but he's got them split into two skills, the damage/heal isn't AoE and only heals himself, and the swipe is melee range. How you can possibly defend the skill is beyond me.
Edit: To that end, yes, I firmly believe Nidalee's heal also needs a nerf. But don't we all :p

The problem with Nidalee is that shes very strong early game (between levels 6 and 13 lets say) but she is terrible at the end of the game unless she made a huge impact on the early/mid game because she scales terribly.
As it stands Nidalee's ability to lane better than any other champion is the only reason she is good. If they nerfed that then she would be heimer level useless.
|
She can have the mana cost and the heal amount, if you so desire, but the attack speed buff if retarded, or at least needs a serious nerf in the amount of buff it provides. Look at other heal/buff spells. Soraka gives armor, but it's a relatively ignorable amount. Taric gives nothing (but heals himself). Janna gives nothing (but is AoE). Alistar has an AoE heal but the heal amount got nerfed in half. Ezreal is an AoE heal that buffs teammates, debuffs enemies, and does damage to enemies (looooool). Nidalee is the cheapest mana-cost heal in the game, heals basically the same as Soraka, and applies a gigantic amount of attack speed.
Edit: Other buffs include Nunu (who buffs mspeed and aspd for both himself and one other target), the movement speed buff/debuffs of various heroes, and Taric and Sivirs ults, who get more leeway when it comes to balance because they are ults; one with huge cooldown (esp compared to its duration) and one whose ult blows away at his mana pool.
Essentially, why does Nidalee have one single spell that heals as much as devoted healers (Taric Soraka) that also gives one of the strongest buffs in the game, all for the lowest mana cost?
You can nerf her attack speed, or you can make it cost more mana. But it's bizarre why it's the best of every world.

Hehe... yeah, its a problem for finnish people because we don't have feminine and masculine definitions in our language like she / he. We use the word 'hän' for that and it doesn't tell the sex of a person.
