lets start a "things i miss most about old gozey" list.
the things i miss most about old gozey: - when he sounded so confident before a big team fight and you hear "GO! GO!" on vent and see an arrow miss from point blank range and the other team's tank running full speed at you - how he would miss an arrow with both ashe and the other character on the same screen but would hit random cross-map arrows - how he would chase a low health veigar through the jungle and be juked out at EVERY single bush - how he would usually go something along the lines of 0-3-12
BONUS EXTRA the things i enjoy about playing with new gozey: - how he doesn't have any boots 30 minutes into the game - how he played soraka and on vent you hear "what skill should i get? i should probably get heal." - how "you should probably go heal" is a euphemism for "what the fuck is this idiot doing in lane with low health?"

redtooth, gimme a solid AP / AD Kat build(masteries too). I wanna try her out. She seems a perfect hero for pubstomping.
I love Gozey too!

For shen, is maxing vorpal blade more beneficial than maxing taunt first? The life-tap for your whole team seems ridiculously effective in teamfights compared to the 1 extra second of taunt that you get.
I know taunt is Shen's best move, but if you consider mercury treads, you're not really getting that much out of taunt with those additional points that warrant it being maxed out first.

with shen, I typically get 3 points in vorpal early, then I max taunt with a couple points on feint to keep up with opponent's damage. depends on the game, but my skills usually look like

fucking afker... ruined my all games today

so last night, I checked my last 9 games with Pantheon and saw that my k-d-a was 115-25-57. I was fully convinced he was OP. Three mediocre games later, I'm once again convinced he needs a buff, lol.

I'm not redtooth but probably one of the most effective ones I see goes Guise/Sorc/BT and then follows with GA and Rylai in whichever order, then makes another damage item.
Runes mpen/dodge/cd(?)/flat hp quints, masteries I believe 9(mp15%)/21/0 but you could probably also make do with 21/9/0.
|
isn't it inefficient to build solidly towards both AD and AP with Kat? I can see Guise/Sorc/stack AD being good for just going to town on your magic pen, but getting rylais seems like you're just shooting yourself in the foot.
|
I'm not sure why he went Rylai, I think it's just for the slow effect and HP. You could obviously speed it up and go for another BT or something if you're comfortable with just using GA/guise as your survival, but I think the logic was, if you're gonna need something like Warmog for some HP, you might as well get the slow. Flip side you could go Frozen instead, but I'm not sure how well that would work on Kat.
|
it just seems counter productive to get the BT in that case then... just go AP if you want rylais and get a z-ring or abyssal scepter or something instead of wasting time on the BT.
|
Most games end before you would make Rylai. I think BT is the strongest single-item damage source for Kat (as it buffs both BB and her ult), so then when you go BT -> GA (which is nice for keeping BT stacks) if you're rolling (as you should be) you'll stay really far ahead. By the time you finish BT and GA you can pretty much look at the game and see what you need. I like Rylai and get it like the people I've seen run the build (a single, high-stacked BT does enough damage IMO) because of its chasing and survival effect, but I can see stacking more BTs faster etc. working, too.
Edit: Essentially the question bout Rylai becomes this: Is 3600 gold worth 500 HP, a snare effect on all your skills, and 60 damage on Shunpo?
I prefer AD because BB + autoattack off of Shunpo is like 600-700 burst damage off a single stacked BT... even without her ult.

well, SotO's the strongest single-item damage source for Kat. you might wanna consider doing that since her game plan seems pretty similar to Pantheons :p
|
Ahahah, I've seen Kats go SotO: the reason why I don't like it on Kat is because she's not actually a guaranteed killer she'll just almost always get at least an assist, and once you get rolling she's a big target. Losing BT stacks hurts but with BB you can always get stacks back pretty fast, and you're still running around with the +50 anyways. Losing SotO stacks on Kat can basically wipe you out of game relevance.

Okay, Gozey, add me to that list as warwick, I haven't lost a game with him since I started playing him again 3 days ago.
|
I had that happen when I played nidalee about a week or two ago. Then, once I noticed that I hadn't lost with her in a really long time, I immediately lost
|
Always happens to me, no matter what hero I use :x It's why I start switching heroes even when I do well with them for a while. Either I rocket my Elo too high and need a week of being pummeled, or I start playing too overconfident etc. and make mistakes, or something. I have no idea.

I thought brood war was consuming my life until i played this game >_<

last night, i kept overestimating my early burst with Panth by like 5-10 damage, it was really annoying and definitely ruined my game vs. a janna mid when it cost me FB. Instead of her waiting to respawn while I backed to buy, she backed and teled and I had to stay on the lane till 6 to avoid getting underleveled, but was low on hp so I got underfarmed and got jacked by her leveling zephyr instead of the usual abilities. uhg, so annoying.
