carries are so much better showing up on lane with 700 hp than 400 hp, lol. I can't believe I even played TF before I figured out doran's shield and flat hp quints and defensive masteries :p

actually, elixir is probably optimal on TF too now that I think about it. it's not like the doran's shield is giving you much value later on and having more relevant autoattacks early might give him more lane presence.

I think Boots is necessary on TF because his range blows. Not sure about side lane TF, though.

Edit:
The way I see it is (in a solo mid fight)

Ashe > TF
Ashe + Elixir >>>>> TF
Ashe + Elixir = TF + Boots
Ashe + Boots ~ TF + Boots
Ashe + Elixir + Boots > TF + Boots
Ashe + Elixir + Boots ? TF + Boots + Elixir

Tough call, and that's a lot of investment to maintain solo mid dominance.

on side lanes, I think elixir theoretically sounds best when you have another stunner, otherwise shield/regrowth.

Probably around right.

Incidentally I think Shield/Ring gives great value even as the game goes on. 130HP never becomes obsolete :p

well, I agree on Ez and Soraka, but I haven't seriously played Ashe in a long time, so I dunno if I agree for Ashe or not, but when I went on a 3 game locket Ashe kick I ran 9/0/21, lol.

It's even at best, the speed advantage really messes up whatever extra HP/damage Ashe does, from what I could tell. I'm not sure how Ashe Elixir-first fares against TF boot-first (probably Ashe wins via attrition), but if TF goes back and buys a boot the scales seem to tip the other way.

So I started playing around on Corki and have begun to take a liking to him. Have been going 21/0/9 with Armorpen/dodge/flatcd and HP quints and Flash/Tele summoner spells. As far as item builds ive been doing LW -> IE but I feel this is weak untill late game. Anyone have any suggestions on Corki builds?

I see a lot of flat pen/reduction to abuse with gattling's armor shredding. The builds always look something like sheen, zerker greaves (still don't understand this), brutalizer, black cleaver, go for triforce. I don't really play him though, that's just what the better looking ones always seem to do.

For the most part Corki is a late-game hero, aside from ganking with Lizard, so you're probably staring at the "limitation" of Corki. If you want an earlier setup you can rush Sheen (and maybe Triforce).

He's also one of the heroes I'd seriously consider running double mp5 on, because he needs to farm, but his farming speed is directly tied to his spell spam. If you can Valk every creep wave you'll get money much faster than without.

Speaking of which, were you in my game a couple days ago when I was playing Twitch, and this TF teleported to me in a teamfight and tried to gold card me (woulda killed me) only to see me dodge and escape?

He was like

"OMG WHAT'S YOUR DODGE RATE"

I was like

"6%, but Riot gave us 50% bonus vs gold card"
