ahh, just got the winter version of the map. the winter version has got the normal grass in the normal spots. its just always snowing, so it looks slightly more cluttered :o

The Occult and new Mejai's are pretty terribad (I really miss the old Mejai's) but Leviathan is a different story. Build it on a Nasus or Cho'gath, play it relatively safe until you have Levi fully charged, run around shrugging off attacks in team fights.

Removable stacks on glass cannon characters is usually not the way to go (Occult/Mejai) hahah.

But yeah I could see Leviathan being awesome now that you mention it.

the new tryn is basically a master yi that can heal 1/4th hp off every minion kill and not die for 6 seconds while he chops up the other team

needless to say I wont be playing yi anymore

In a crucial difference, Trynd also happens to have an AoE snare.

Yeah...

I think I'm gonna go back to Trynd :| I almost fell out of my chair when I realized this one Trynd we (Flicky and I) played against solo'd golem spawn at level 3 in about 20 seconds.

Oh my god the new Trynd makes me sad. I kill him, losing a lot of health in the process, and then he comes back to life and murders me. And if he has the guardian angel.... well then just don't bother trying to hurt him. IMBA

Anyone tried out Udyr? What do you think?

I've played a few games with him, and was trying to work on a jungling build, given the fact that he can restore health and mana very quickly in "turtle" stance. However, I forgot to take rally and took Fortify instead, by accident (noob), so needless to say it was a very slow process. Despite that, it was still easy to take down Golem at level 3.

In fights however, I'm still not sure. He can be very very powerful, if built and levelled correctly.

He has the potential to be a great jungler due to Turtle Stance. Add in a Sheen and/or Madred's and it's smooth sailing. Unfortunately, he doesn't bring much to the table in a team fight. You have to farm well, get some good items on him to make him worthwhile.

Haven't played him myself, but I played about six games with and against him.
As PassionBear may attest, I threatened to ragequit whenever someone picked Udyr and was on my team, but eh.

He seems pretty horrible, to be honest. He's got a melee stun, which is fine (feels like a crappy version of Jax there) and a bunch of DPS stuff, except he has no built-in chasing skills. He also fakes being a tank (the block one attack stance) but in actuality is very easy to take down, because he seems to have low base armor and mediocre base HP.

His only saving grace I think is his ability to stand in combat against creep, so maybe if you can jungle fast enough then he might actually be useful via items, but it felt like playing with dead-weight in lanes and it took ages for him to actually be of any use in fights.

O, I made a very important discovery about turrets. If you damage any enemy champion in range of a turret, that turret auto-switches to target YOU.

I was attacking a turret with a wall of like 10 creeps in front of me, so I was thinking I was totally safe from being targeted. Then I dropped my AoE spell on some creeps, and hit a Soraka standing near the tower. The tower instantly attacked me, and since I was like level 4 at the time, I dropped in about 3 hits.

This had be soooo confused until I realized that as long as you don't attack enemy heroes, the towers will not target you before creeps.

Err, guess you never played DotA before this ^^;

It's why when you tower dive you just keep clicking on the ground, and you only attack the hero at the last possible moment, to delay the tower noticing you for as long as possible

ye i allrdy tested out jungling a little last night with udyr he can take down the golem at level 1 with smite/rally easily but overall he is a weak jungler compared to warwick fiddle ect

Also, one of the reasons I feel that jungling is probably the way to go, despite him perhaps not being as good as the other junglers, is because laning with him is pretty horrible, if you are against good/aggresive/ranged opponents, as he has no method of harassment, other than walking up to them and attacking.

That kinda sums up why I hate playing with him as a teammate, though. When one player jungles you automatically get a 1v2 lane, which more-often-than-not isn't ever going to *win.* That 1 player is usually going to be backpedaling for most of the game, and eventually (against a decent-good lane) that tower's going down. And the faster one tower goes down the faster the game transitions from the laning phase to the teamwork phase, because up to two players (the lane that got pushed down) will begin to roam, and you also lose a big chunk of lane control via the loss of tower. All of which means that first of all you're very likely to lose control of the jungle (which directly affects the jungler), and it also means at some point the jungler is expected to make a contribution.

This is fine with Nunu and Warwick, if they're good (they're the usual jungling suspects), because every time their ult recharges (in the case of Nunu even faster, because he doesn't need the ult to gank) you're seeing a pretty unwelcome gank incoming. And even with low item count, their ult gives them battle presence.

Udyr does nothing though.

Like, he's even worse than an underfarmed Jax/Trynd/Yi because he literally has basically nothing to bring to the table without godly items.

Edit:
If you've played DotA, he's like an underfarmed Phantom Assassin who just got demolished in a lane, tried to jungle, and so you've lost a tower + PA only has Perse. You're screwed until he farms up... except PA only needs three items to become godly (BFury + Treads + Helm), Udyr needs like 4-5.
