Skills: Q E Q W Q R and then R > Q > W > E. However, you can get E on lvl 1 if there's gonna be gank at lvl 1 and pump stun at the fountain, you can also skip W for better nuking - i usually get it because it helps in pumping my stun after tibbers (R Q W E Q Q and stun is ready again for W) and i like def/mres it gives.
Items: I start with mana crystal + 2 pots into catalyst then boots -> mejai -> merc (or sorc if you went mid, are stomping and feel like you won't be defeated) -> roa -> blue & red elix (sometimes blue elix before roa). If game drags on you can get some of the following: rylai, void staff, zhonya, abyssal, banshees. Most of my games end after roa + elixirs though

ROA isnt good on annie, she isnt a mana hog
mana or doran ring + hp pot
catalyst
sorc or treads
build rylai's
haunting guise/finish veil
do the other
if game is still not over, zhonya or frozenheart works.
*note get a mejai before sorc if you are doing very well

I think you're confusing E and W. W is the AoE damage spell that you want to get at level 1 if you're planning on ganking at level 1.

Katarina gets overlooked cos she sucks. His passive is a percentage of total health every second regen while he's out of combat, it's actually pretty amazing how much it heals for. It gives him tremendous staying power in lane cos all he has to do is back off for a few seconds and he regens all his health back. he can go up for a last hit and come back without being harassed out of lane

I'm trying to learn Trist and have some q's about her.
Should Trist always be soloing? When I play, I usually play with friends and usually one of them gets mid (with like Ashe or something). I always feel like I'm underpowered or something midgame (which seems to be the opposite of what she's supposed to be). Whenever I read guides, it seems like they say once I hit level 6, I can rape someone for free or something, that never seems to be the case for me =( (maybe I just suck or I play too conservatively).
What type of build is good? I've been starting off w/ the rejuv bead + a potion or two and then getting boots and going straight to Stark's. After that I start adding +attack items (either bloodthirster or infinity edge) before finally getting phantom dancer.

Um.
First of all, Trist doesn't need solo mid because her farming speed is ridiculous, and she's farm-based, not level-based.
Second, you just need to stack +damage. Because her Q is one of the best pure DPS skills in the game.

Boots + 3 pots. Farm until BF Sword. Get IEdge, Last Whisper, Greaves and you're pretty much set on DPS. The best Trist I know, Atlanta, gets Frozen Mallet first though. So it's a matter of play style.

So it's a matter of play style. boots + 3 pots? err... that's situational IMO (i.e. vs karthus). usually you want to go dorans + pot so you dont die immediately. boot aren't going to save you where dorans won't. also, if you're going straight to IE edge then you can pick up a pickaxe first since it scales to gold basically the same as BF and you can get it earlier. but do most people go to IE first?
