Shouldn't be too much a problem with a 19/19/19/*/21/* Kensaï imported from BG1 + 5 of his home made friends ( Yea picking spells help ). With a fucking assassin, terrible thief/mage, druid/warrior and ranger ( my "team" lol ) it is impossible to beat it without being lame. The characters are just too weak. Basicly Imoen and my Assassin couldn't deal dmg, Imoen can't tank more than three hits ( Even Minsc can only survive to 5-6 hits lol ) + their AC are just bad. Also Imoen has too few spells and it won't be enough to kill the Demon/golem. Same for Jaheira her only good spell is the swarm curse ( don't remember the exact name but it works well vs the priest ). So when you can't deal decent dmg and you can't tank your only solution is to be lame and lure ( but with tactics luring become HARD ). Also i didn't want to take Yoshimo before ( i doubt he would have been that usefull because he is kinda shitty too, but well maybe traps would have helped ). Did Iron Maiden + Blood Golem ever stop being invincible in PvE? Obviously for single targets and bosses, you just spam Clay instead. And even after Static got nerfed, it still tore Duriel apart. | ||

The hardest fights in BG2 are actually the first mages, because you most likely lack the spells you would want in a fight against mages (i hated this wizard guy in the second thieves guild quest, sometimes i couldn't even break fear at that time and he fears, paralises and does a ton of other nasty stuff). After you get the important spells everything is a matter of preparation/knowledge. Ascension is way harder (Abazigal - 2 Dragons at once, tons of lesser wyrms/salamanders other stuff is when it slowly becomes really hard), Melissan is even worse (you fight all the Bhaalchilds + Irenicus + Bodhi (or Balthazar).. At once ore something like this iirc. Tactics is again on a whole other level... I question the sanity of people that actually finished BG2 with this mod  .Icewind Dale 2 was also pretty hard, somewhere between BG2 and Ascension. | ||

Coliseum showmatch in Tales of Symphonia (GC) without demonic weapons and powerleveling, on hardest. Hourglasses are sooo deadly. They certainly made sure that you've got something to do after you beat the final bosses in the tales series. | ||

It's kind of Power Rangers-like Japan freakness lol Megazord, hiperzord, hiperultrazord T_T After installing BG tactics mods with maybe some other mods included, the hardest bosses for me was the golem summoning, dragon on the ritual quest in watcher's keep area. About King's bounty, the only way I could actually beat that game is to buy 1k Knights, which are among the only 5 types of units that DO respawn since they are in your own castle. Now, when you have more units than your leadership can afford, you don't have control of that fighting unit and they go berserk and attack the nearest unit, be it friend or foe. So my tactic was teleporting the knights near the enemy's army. After the knights kill the enemy, AND me, I just respawned and attacked again the knight controlled castle. GG Edit: After reading Boblion's Tactics adventure I realize I probably had some other tactics MOD. Ilyich was definitely harder than normal BG2, but I don't remember any Glabrezus and characters from russian literature as henchmen. | ||

Many Mods are really great but even most of the good NPC adding mods (really good NPC's with storys and so on, often overshadowing the *normal* NPC's when it comes to background) suddenly add a fight that is way harder than anything you would normally encounter in BG2. | ||
