edit: I have six games to cast, should be a good time. I'll do all six tonight, hopefully!
Oh damn, she just PM'd you the games or something? You're a great caster but I dont have all day and would have liked to x8 them. T_T
Maybe next time.
I don't have all night. Need some sleep before waking up at 4am to watch GSL Code S. I watched his stream casting the replays for 20 minutes but getting to x8 them would have been nice when it is late.

I just feel like you woke up one day and went, I think I'll play this game called Starcraft, wandered into IPL 4 and just started wrecking people.
Aka, can we get a little biography of your Starcraft 2 career up until IPL 4?
hmmm... short summary (turned out a little long actually!) : ~ i started playing near beginning of april 2011 (though had played most of campaign (brutal all achievements ! :D) before that) ~ got into master league with 7pool/6pool/3RR in 1-2weeks ~ started watching zerg streams and practicing very macro oriented play ~ played my first GM player and beat them early june 2011 ~ got placed in GM when season 3 started (~july 2011) ~ after this i started playing 1s very on and off staying around low GM almost dropping out for too high bonus pool ~ started playing more on another account and got it convincingly promoted to GM mid-season (during season 4 i think) ~ slowly improved and topped out at rank 30-40 GM before stop playing sc2 in late november ~ played dota\did war3 modding from then till late february and only played sc2 very very rarely during this time ~ watched a bunch of stephano vods and changed my playstyles/improved them a lot and got into GM mid-season ahead of several pros also laddering a bunch on NA ~ improved very quickly getting to rank 2 GM in a few weeks ~ around here i played playhem tournament (had almost a 40 win streak on ladder spread over 2 accounts here) ~ started playing a bunch of ZvT with keydMaker (high GM terran with very good record) to prepare for ipl as well as a few ZvZs with NMxHendralsk and cvgSasquatch (my ZvT got incredibly strong after this ; which is why i was confident vs DeMuslim ~ you can see here what hendralsk, who watched many of my ZvT practice games said: )

Since MKP is your favorite progamer have you ever considered switching to Terran? How good is your offrace? ^^
i played like 20-30 games on wc3 ladder and a tiny bit of sc1 on LAN with friends mostly long ago (and more since i started playing sc2) but was not any good at either because i only was doing for fun. i played many wc3 customs / some bw customs in past before starting sc2 though
i have always and will always play zerg ; never really considered switching other than maybe 1 point when neural was getting hardcore nerfed (no massive) but that was me just being silly ><
my offraces are maybe mid-low master other than cheese; which i am pretty good at (top8 master level)
I think we should compile the questions and put them on the OP so people can see them.

Haha yeah, I suppose I meant night as well. ^_^
To be honest (and to hopefully lessen any offence Corpuscle might take ) I dont watch any youtube videos of random games that arent major tournaments etc etc. I just really like playing sc2, as bad as I am, and aren't quite willing to take like 2 hours to watch 6 games. >_>
zzzz so talented T_T If I play 500 games a season I still can't even get top 8 masters and then she getes GM ezpz. Can't wait for which team she chooses
Sasha, PM me if you are interested in finding a new build for your computer. Playing on a laptop is just not acceptable. I know the best ways of building really good computers for cheap. or you could send me a message on SCII AGGhost.223

^ Just remember, if he claims to be a Nigerian prince at any point, dodge like hell.
With a team announcement coming monday she prob wont be needing any help. Maybe we should save our pennys for the inevitable need for subscriber chat to keep the trolls out.
I was thinking about the same thing Xorphene and then ialso came to the realization that if everything goes as we all hope she wont need help with anything anymore!

Btw, sc2gears has a different definition for eapm than Blizzard, that's more adapt at filtering out spam while keeping meaningful actions.
Yeah, sc2gears EAPM is what I've been referring to. I'm so used to only looking at their numbers I forget to clarify. But I see your point. When starting out I just thought that APM was easily inflated by actions that weren't actually helpful, i.e. where Blizzard's EAPM might count repeated clicks, APM would could that as well as other redundancies.
But to be clear, I do agree that speed is not everything that goes into being good. I'm an exceptionally slow playre for mid-diamond, and in my past 30 games against peers, I think maybe once I was faster than my opponent, and it was an absolute stomping by me. Perhaps this skews my perception, since my strengths lie elsewhere and pretty much everyone I beat is faster than me.
Either way, to get back on track, it's awesome to see tourneys like IPL4 have formats that let awesome, unknown players like Scarlett get such great exposure. I hope the contract talks for her go well and she lands somewhere awesome.
My only advice is focus on the action instead of whether a player is doing something right or wrong. Maybe they are trying something different out or whatever. I don't think it is the caster's place to judge a player.
Painuser does that all the time and it annoys the hell out of me. I had to switch to the Korean stream.

I quite disagree. I think there are many styles of casting, but a critical/sarcastic style which focuses on metagame can be done well (or used well circumstantially), in my opinion. Day[9] himself uses sarcasm and a facetious tone very effectively often enough.
I find the opposite far more frustrating: casters who won't call a player on a flubbed strategy, or a timing which was just plain *wrong*, even when the audience largely understands why it didn't work, and what went amiss. Or folks who focus on the absolutely obvious and entirely unremarkable, when there's interesting metagame to be discussed. That style (which HD and Husky are most notable for) is good for new fans who don't play, but it's deadly boring for many, two years into the Starcraft 2 experience.
After a large dose at IPL4 recently of HD pretending to be excited about the most completely unremarkable aspects of standard play, which he misconstrues or misunderstands as something other than what they are, a caster who's as completely deadpan honest and straight-shooting as Corpuscle is actually gratifying to listen to, for me.
Plenty to improve on, sure. No one turns into Nick or Sean Plott over night. But I think he's off to a good start.
